Giveaway!

Hey, there. Happy Tuesday.

Just popping in with a quick giveaway! My dear friend Latrice creates adorable necklaces and sells them on Etsy. She made one for me (white) and for Kay (purple) and for Audrey (pink) and they are so fun. Here I am this morning wearing mine. Bad photo – took it with my phone in the reflection of a mirror…

Look forward to some daily creative time, more consistent exercise, and some charitable work. I think that I will be quite busy…and wonder how I ever had time to work! But I want to be balanced…enough sleep, enough exercise, and joy in my heart!

Another retired teacher here! I’ve done some traveling, I read a lot, and I stay up really late! My most important “job” is being a shipper and card maker for Operation Write Home!!

I’m loving my job as a mommy of 4 – don’t think I want to retire. Maybe just enjoy more moments of just being together with no responsibilities. Love that pretty necklace – Thanks for the chance =)

  8. Sandy says:

Oooh boy, retirement?? I just started my career!! I’d only get like $50 a month right now if I retired lol! But when the day comes, I’d love to spend time puttering around the house catching up on hobbies like crocheting, guitar playing (hopefully arthritis free), gardening etc. And if that means crocheting on a plane during my worldly travels… I guess I could live with that too!

  9. Alice W. says:

beautiful necklace! I would like to move to a nice and quiet area (could be in any country, preferably Europe) and live our last years peacefully with a few more cats. =)

Retirement all I would like to do really is to be able to do things I enjoy. 🙂 Traveling would be nice and just spending more time in my craft room.

  12. Many years until then but I hope to
live near my daughters and spend
time with my family. I have lived
away from home for such a long time
that being near family is all I long
    for.

  13. Nancy says:

    I don’t think I’ll be able to retire before I’m 70…
But if I could retire early (you never know if you’ll win the lottery, right?), I would travel and be an artist. And maybe write a childrens book.

    Just some thoughts 🙂
    thanks for the dream!

I just love being retired – took early retirement and SS. It is wonderful to be able to plan my day as I please, spend time with my wonderful husband, see my four boys when time allows. I also am able to be nearby and visit my 89-year-old Mom every day. This time spent with her is precious and I am glad to be able to help her when she needs anything. I also love love love to do my stamping, sewing, knitting, crafting. It was very much worth it to carefully save for this time in our lives!

Necklace is lovely – what a nice gift!!! Love your posts!

Love the necklace…very Bohemian! First up in retirement is to just stay home…read, garden, cook…spoil grandchildren. Second up…back to volunteering overseas as an emergency doctor. Happy retirement to everyone…it’s not about the money…it’s about giving back…to yourselves and others.

Retirement is a long way off but dreams would be to buy a motor coach and travel, with crashing at our girls places where ever they might be (in hopes to spoil the grandkids!) I know this will only last for a while with hubby so our other dream is a house out in the country. He would have a nice heated garage to work in and I would have a HUGE scrap room!!! Oh the dreams!

Very pretty necklace – looks great on you! The main thing I’m looking forward to is hopefully having free time to craft. I’m boiling over with desire to create but lack the time to do so. I’d be more than content to have hours on end to surround myself in all things craft.

  39. I am retired and loving every minute of it! We started nine years early by buying property where we wanted to live (in Montana). I retired on my 50th birthday (hubby retired 2 years ahead of me). We sold our home, spent 2 months building hubby’s airplane hangar at the new place, then went to Hawaii for 2 months (pure heaven)! When we returned it was winter in Montana, but 2 months later we started building our new home. We have been here for 4 years now and spend our time doing the things we want, traveling, and being grandparents!

  40. Becky K. says:

Ha, retirement! I’m still in school, but I still think about it sometimes. 🙂 I’d love to have a big garden, lots of time to read, stamp, knit, sew, grow bonsai… oops, I think my list of potential hobbies is getting a bit long. 😛 Other than that, just spend a lot of time with my family!

  49. Cindi says:

We’re starting to think about retirement too! We’d like to hike more, take little flying trips (in small planes) find someplace cooler for the summer (FL is hot, hot hot) preferably on a lake. I’d like to read more, craft more and go to one of those crafting camps in the mountains. I have no worries of being bored! Oh yeah, and I want to visit my kids, because I will miss them!

  50. Jennifer says:

My husband and I want to travel. Thanks for all of your great ideas.
