The unexpected…

I remember wanting desperately to get the perfect photo of the 6 cousins together.

After all, since 3 of them live in Africa, it is a rare opportunity.

I wanted it so bad. I knew it wasn't happening. Just knew it.

Decided to give up and try again later. (Which I never got to do, by the way.)

But then came home and opened all the pictures, not expecting anything.

And then I saw the unexpected. The non-perfect picture that was somehow perfect.

Cousins chatting. Big mint candies in their mouths or hands. Messy boat hair. Audrey with Colin's sunglasses on her head. Samuel being shy.

Yep, it is perfect.

I am off to order a print of this unexpected beauty right now.
