Kay’s Blog Week Takeover – Day 5

Well, it’s the last day of Blog Week by Kay :’(

I have had so much fun doing this blog, getting to share all my cards with you guys and laughing so much while writing these posts. I'm in my room right now listening to show tunes and singing along (loudly and badly, I am sure), while typing this.

This next card is almost a monochromatic brown card. And, yes, brown is my second nemesis (remember orange?)… we have battled for years. Shall we behold the results?…

Kay 4
Supplies: Hero Arts stamps; Memento Markers; Perfect Pearls + water in mini mister

Lovely, isn't it? 🙂

To stamp the house, I colored directly on the rubber with various Memento markers. Before stamping, I misted it with my Mum's famous pearlized water. After assembling the card, I added the house. And voila! Brilliance.

See? Very easy. So easy, a teenage girl could do it 😉

Sadly, I must depart, as I have yet to finish training my scorpion.

And, since it is my last day, I have two Kay’s Daily Words Of Wisdom:

First: Chocolate is a vegetable, because chocolate comes from cocoa beans. And beans are a vegetable.

Second: A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.

Love,
Kay

PS: Be sure to check out a giveaway from Kelly Purkey, HERE. I met her in NYC and can't wait to stay with her next time I visit!

  11. I have loved Kay takeover. Am I confused or isn’t she your daughter. Her work seems really good for the age I think of your kids being. The words are wisdom are great. Make a “wisdom” a day calender!

  12. Love and agree with your words of wisdom!! The card is adorable and it’s been so much fun reading your blog takeover this week.

  13. I was given 100 squares of brown cardstock at work that was packed in with something. I need to make “we moved” cards, and your card has inspired me to try using the cardstock for them. Since each piece is 2 feet wide, and I want to do a tri-fold or accordian fold this may work out well. Since I and both of my two kids have all moved to different places, I need something big enough to do three addresses, and a short note about each person.

  14. You are a sweetie, Kay! You need to talk to Mum about having a regular spot on the blog. I have sooooo enjoyed your cards, your sense of humor, personality and you words of wisdom.
Great card, I think you won on this one too, just like you did with the orange!

Didn’t keep the stubs from the first trip! EEK! anyway, LOVE it there! Dream the Impossible Dream!! (;
