Happy Birthday

I try not to share too many personal posts on here, and instead stick to crafting.  However, I gotta wish my little guy a happy 4th birthday.

Oh my, how time flies…

And Colin's sisters honestly are still as crazy in love with him now as they were on day one.  Anyone who has been around us is amazed by the bond, even though they are supposedly only "half" siblings.  It is clear God had a hand in their connection, and still does today…

Thank you, Mr. Colin, for being such a great kid.  And even though you are only 4, I love that you act like a 40-year-old trapped in that little body.  I am so glad you are just like your dad in every way.  I couldn't ask for more.

OK… enough of that sappy stuff.  Off to watch Marriage Ref with the girls.  Night!

(OH! And by the way… new Hero stamps are now at 2peas HERE!)

  3. It is fun to see Colin throughout his four years At my stamp store with your idea boards and in the Hero catalogs. I so appreciate that you shared the photograph of Colin and his sisters. You are so blessed!! We are lucky to have this venue to get to know you, your family and your talent. Birthday cake for all!!!!!!!!

  4. They are all three just adorable kids. I think that you being such an awesome step-mom to the girls may have something to do with their closeness with Colin. You obviously make them feel welcome and loved when they are with you. Enjoy all of them as God would want you to every minute of every day. What great blessing they must truly be.

  6. Happy Birthday to darling Colin!!!

I’ve enjoyed watching him grow up throuh your scrapbook layouts–I have a 4 year old myself so I’ve felt a little connection with you guys after going through the baby stages/layouts around the same time. Last week my 4 year old told me she doesn’t play with some of the toys she received for Christmas because she’s “A GROWN-UP”. Hee-hee! 🙂

  7. Happy Birthday Colin! I love how the Lord makes families-we think so conventionally but He does not!

  10. it has been fun for me to watch colin grow and change through the years with your scrapbooking! he is such a handsome guy! and i know what you mean about the connection between siblings, my son and my step-son have a bond like nothing i’ve ever seen with other blended families and people tell me that constantly. it’s rewarding and makes your heart happy for sure! happy birthday colin- enoy your time with your big sisters!

Jennifer, thank you for sharing those precious photos. I am sure that it must be difficult separating your personal life from your public life, especially as scrapbooking is extremely personal. Knowing how much to share or not share is something I experience on the internet myself. But that said, those of us who follow and learn from you do develop a connection to you and your family. I love seeing the bits and pieces of life and how they reflect in your art. So, a big heartfelt thanks for sharing Colin’s birth day. I swear those newborn photos with their siblings make me positively weak in the knees…. it always pulls at my heart and makes miss those sweet first moments ( my youngest turned 8 two months ago, how did that happen ? ).
