Catching up a bit…

Hello!  Time to play catch up.  Got home today from Scrapfest today.  That show is a whirlwind!  Was wonderful meeting so many new people.  Wish I could have spent more time with old friends.  Next time.  Here is a peek at the projects I did in my class.  All the cards held a gift – money, gift card, tea or candy…

I am home for a few days and then head to my in-laws for a bit.  I will be catching up on email while I am there.  If you had emailed me and I haven't gotten back to you, please send it again. 🙂

Let's see…

First, Ken and I spent some time this evening going through MANY packages of Cards for Kate.  WOW.  Japan.  Argentina.  Ireland.  Indonesia.  These cards are coming from everywhere.  I can imagine the delight for Kate when she gets more cards.  God bless you all.  Jana added more names to the list of received cards HERE.  And I will be giving her MANY more names tomorrow to add.  Thanks, everyone!

Next up…

Believe it or not, it is time for some new stamps from Hero Arts.  This time we have lots of Cling stamps – check out this fabulous preview

Sneak1

On to some mindless TV news – feel free to skip. 🙂

  • Dancing With the Stars.  The cast didn't really interest me – what about you?  But I likey watching Maks and Dmitry dance.  Yum. Yum. YUM.  I often wonder how much double-sided tape those girl dancers have to use on those skimpy outfits.
  • I didn't watch House last season, even though it was one of my favorite shows.  (I do some work at night and watching that show requires you to pay attention.  Ha.)  For those who watch it, do you think I can start up this season without having seen last?
  • Dexter.  Yes, it is twisted.  But the characters in this show are like none I have ever seen.  Simply amazing.  Rockin' preview HERE.  I wish this would have won the Emmy.  If you are considering trying out this show, you MUST start with season 1.  And give it three episodes.  You will be addicted by then. Don't say I didn't warn you…
  • I haven't watched Glee yet, but plan to.  And I am hoping Community is good – love Joel McHale.
  • What else are you all watching?

OK… off to get a class supply list together for some classes next weekend.  Back tomorrow with some sharing.  Night.

  1. If you haven’t seen Glee yet, catch up with the storyline by watching the earlier episodes first wherever you can find them. I know they are on iTunes. Not sure where else. It’s a fun show. Great for the whole family to watch together.

  2. The House premier tonight was AWESOME! If you want to start watching again I’ll catch you up.

I watched Community last week and it definitely has potential. Laughed out loud at The Office as usual.

  3. love the cards you made. anyway, you could show me how to make them especially the ornament card…would make great cards for the ladies at the daycare. thanks!!!

  4. Yaaay my name is on Jana’s list now. I was getting a bit worried they’d got lost on the long journey from Australia;-) My DH LOVES House. I watch nothing! BUT I watched the very first episode of Glee with my DD the other night and might keep watching – we’ll see. I would much rather create that’s my “problem” :-)))

  5. glee, glee, glee! LOL. Glad you’ll give it a try and hope you like, er.. love it. =) http://www.hulu.com/glee Heroes started back up tonight (S4). Survivor and Amazing Race this Sunday (hm.. too much reality tv!) I’m gonna check out ‘FlashForward’ and hope ‘Community’ is good too!

  6. So happy that the cards are rolling in for Kate and her family!… and from all over the world! So cool!

Thanks for showing the cards you taught over the weekend. Love how you used the cash as a tree…. I used your birthday candles/ cash idea for a Birthday card for my brother last week. You’re brilliant! 🙂

I STILL have a few Hero stamps on my list… guess I better check them off if more are coming out. 😉

  7. Cards are beautiful! Wish I could take one of your classes!
NCIS season premier is tonight!! Can’t wait to watch it! We have bought all the seasons so far and now we’re going to wait for Season 7 to come out! They just get better and better!!

Your class cards are amazing. Love the treat bag too.
Glad you are home safe and sound.

I can not wait to see the new clings from HA. I find these
to be so easy to use, easy to store and great quality as always.

I agree about Dexter very great show. I have not started watching
the new shows as of yet.

  9. The cards that give class was the BOMB! I’ve been showing those cards to anyone who cares to look (and even those that don’t!). One of the few things I have actually unpacked from my classes!

  10. You really MUST see the opener for House this season … even if you haven’t followed it for a while this is a CLASSIC House episode and gives you a glimpse into his character.

  11. You missed a lot on House but I’m sure that we can all catch you up…definitely worth it, awesome show! I’ll have to check out Dexter!

  12. You can still get back in the groove of House without seeing last season. I really like Netflix for renting series. I only have HBO not Showtime so I rent all of their series through Netflix like Dexter. Luv that show!

  13. dude, house was soooooooo good last season, i would just pick it up from netflix or itunes if you can. seriously it was THAT good, i promise! though you could just kinda pick it up, except he’s in a psych ward and that may throw you for a loop (especially the end of it…it through me and i’ve watched house from the beginning!).
and you know that i am SOOOOOO in love with glee. you can watch the last three episodes on it on fox.com. sooooooooooooo worth it!
besides that, i am into my shows i always watch (thank goodness for dvr!), like svu, csi, law and orders, etc. and i watch dexter, too.
ok, so i love my tv, big time. it’s the only thing that keeps me going when paul is deployed. 🙂

  14. Love your cards. I’m so hooked on Hero Arts Rubber Stamps since your Thinking Inking class. I’m very anxious to see all the new cling stamps! 🙂

This TV addict is absolutely giddy that the new season has arrived!!! The 2-hour season opener of House was captivating. I definitely think you can pick up where you left off since I personally have such a terrible memory that I can’t remember why he ended up in there to begin with and I still thoroughly enjoyed it. My other favorite is Chuck. For anyone who hasn’t seen that one, please run and check out the first episode back at season 1. I swear you will be hooked and the season finale last season was AWESOME. It sadly won’t be returning until the spring, but that gives all of you plenty of time to catch up. It’s fate hangs in the balance with fewer NBC time slots available due to Leno so PLEASE get hooked and save my favorite show!!! OK, I’ll get down off my soapbox now. I’ve never seen Dexter before, but I will denitely be running to netflicks to rent it after reading all your positive reviews. I also would like to check out glee, but I’m addicted to SUV which airs at the same time so I might have to do some recording on one tv and watching on the other one. So sad… 🙂

  15. House is awesome !! Catch up on Hulu !! There are some real different things going on this year.. he may just turn out to be a nice guy?? ( although I loved the smug sarcastic House !!). Love the sneak peak Hero Arts stamps .. can’t wait to see what you do with them ;o)

  16. Love the cards you did for the Hero Arts class – wish you could travel more to teach out on the West Coast. I would take your class in a minute and so would all my friends 🙂

Anyhow, which owl did you use to create the card pictured? If anyone else knows, would appreciate the answer.

DWTS did seem to start out a little slower than last season, but I like watching the personalities develop.

  17. hi!
we sent in a few more cards for Kate, and this time my 3 year old daughter made them all. she had fun, and it was great getting to see how creative she is.

  18. On the TV: I’m so glad you like Dexter!! Now I don’t feel sick and twisted for being a huge fan of the show! I like the “made for TV” version better though – no f-bombs and a bit less gore. DirecTV has been showing seasons 1 & 2 reruns.

On the creative side: can’t believe you were hanging out in Ponca City!! You should head down to OKC and do a class at Scrapbooks from the Heart next time! You have lots of fans here. 🙂
