Another great one from Kay…
Hello! I still have two more days to share with you of Kay's takeover. I am quite down today as Kay has left for a few weeks of band camp before school starts… which means summer is over. Boo. I hate hate hate when she is gone. But, thankfully, we text lots. I adore that girl. Here she is…
Happy Hug Day! It’s Kay, on day 6 of the non-hostile takeover and I have a story! Every year I declare it National Hug Day – you’d be surprised how many hugs you can get – and this year I made a card! The point of National Hug Day is to spread love and peace in the world and I encourage everybody to celebrate it every year. The card has lots of Hero products too since I’m making up for the non-Hero pink card from the other day. 🙂 This card is made of a Hero Arts note card, gems, “sending HUGS” stamp (which is what ties into Hug Day!) and an awesome Hero Arts flower stamp that was colored with Copics markers.
Supplies: Hero Arts flower stamp, Hero Arts “sending HUGS” stamp, Black Memories Ink, Red Ribbon, Kraft Hero Arts Notecard, Copics Markers, Hero Arts gems
In case you’ve never used Copics markers before, they might be the best markers on the face of the planet. They’re illustrator markers that are really expensive and they blend beautifully, with no lines. Mum bought a bunch of them and hasn’t really used them much, so I decided that it was time to break them out. These are the colors that I used: YR07, YR09, Y15, Y17, R27, R89, B29, BG45, BG13, RV17, RV04, YG67, YG03, BV08, BV11. I love them, needless to say. It’s amazing to think that real book illustrators use these markers.
So, Happy Hug Day everybody!
Until later, may you be as happy as my daddy at the flying field!
Kay
Just a quick PS from Jennifer: Big hugs to my dear Lucy – happy wedding day! And, yes, I did miss the Bachelorette. Boo. And it isn't online anymore. Argh…
