Happy Birthday to… (and a giveaway!)

…one of my favorite people in this world.
…someone who can make me laugh with her many wonderful stories.
…one of the best moms in the world.

…one of my best friends.

Yes, it is Shari Carroll's birthday today.  She is the big 50 today!  (She is gonna kill me!)

And here is the card I created for her for her birthday…

Supplies: Quickutz Silhouette (online downloads – the butterfly and the loopy border), Hero Arts stamps (greeting and flower), Distress Inks, the greatest string ever, American Crafts gem brad, sewing machine, office tag

I love dotted paper… and love it even more when you add stamping to the pattern.  For the tag, I rubbed it with Broken China Distress Ink.  I then flicked water on it, creating the cool look.  Oh – and this card was inspired by one I saw by Mary Macaskill.  Love that girl.

Shari girl, I love ya.  Smooch. 🙂

Oh, and a little warning: I am going to be doing some serious enabling in the coming days.  I have a new best friend: The Silhouette.  I have had it for a long time, but I am really using it a lot now.  (Thanks to Nichol and Kerri!)  Don't you LOVE that loopy border??
