Hey there.

Just wanted to make sure you all say the party going on over at the Hero Arts blog HERE. πŸ™‚

Today I added a video sharing some information on inks and how to stamp large stamps…

Here is a project showing some stamping with large stamps with different inks.  The blue piece is Distress Ink, the green with chalk ink and the brown with Shadow ink.  There is more information HERE.

Great video! I learned something new about one of the inks! Thanks for covering this topic.

Your layout is just so beautiful! The colors in the photo’s are breathtaking.
The colors of papers and inks set really let the photos! pop! I see you have the new border punch from Fiskars. I have been looking for them in the stores. Love how you used it !!! You are doing a great job!

Stay safe in all this wind tonigh.

  3. gorgeous layout jennifer and the photos are beautiful. I sent an email to you yesterday in regards to the bush fires in the Australian state of Victoria. they have been devastaing with hundreds dead and more missing. Sarah Gladman is doing an appeal for almost comleted scrapbook pages for the fire victims to start to rebuild their famiy memories again. Each family will be given an album when the pages are gathered. There is more information here on her site http://sares1911.wordpress.com/2009/02/10/what-a-week/ . It would be fantastic if you could draw some attention to it on your blog as there are so many who read it and it would be great to get the message out to as many people as possible. Nothing is going to make up for the loss these families have suffered but it is lovely for them to know that people care enough to help.
    thanks,
    Sue.

  4. Thanks for that video. i’m sure you answered a lot of questions for people…and I love the LO…jealous that you have the new Fiskar’s border punch! That’s #1 on my wish list!!

  5. Thanks for the great video, Jennifer πŸ™‚ Loved it!!! And I love that layout, too πŸ™‚

On another note, I’m teaching an extracurricular card making class at the elementary school where I teach. I vaguely remember you mentioning some more card drives coming up… but I can’t remember the details or when you said they might be. My kiddos & I would love to participate!!! Any more info coming soon? πŸ™‚

  6. Loved today’s video on the different ways to stamp large stamps. I tried the “wiggle” method today and it worked great! Even seeing the different types of ink and how they stamp and change after standing a while. Such great tutorials…thank you!

  7. Am I allowed 20 questions? I am fairly new at scrapbooking and am so envious of the beautiful LO’s I see everyone making. My questions about this LO are: Did you use a punch or template to make the scallop edge on the blue paper? Did you use the whole beige lined print paper or did you conserve paper and just edge the blue piece? It is so beautiful and thank you for the ink lesson.

  8. Jennifer,
I have some ink questions. I have heard different recommendations about ink storage? Do you store your inks upside down or right-side-up? Does it depend on the “type” of ink? Is there any rescue for a slightly dry pad? Any ink pad “maintenance?” πŸ™‚ Thanks!

  9. Great tutorial Jennifer! I really need to try out that wiggle method. My husband even got involved watching the video. He’s going to try it out too.

  10. Great video! I never realized there was such a big difference in the inks you use.

Love this layout. The pictures pop, and are breath taking.

I might have to scraplift this. What size are the pictures?

  11. Jennifer, thanks for the EXCELLENT video tutorial, it was really informative and entertaining. I use all the different inks you mentioned but have found that my large stamps have stayed on the shelf far more then they should. Your video has inspired me to take them out and give them a try with your techniques, so thank you!!!
