Home! Time for a giveaway…

Well, we are home.  It was a long day getting here yesterday (left at 8am, took two boats, two taxis, two plane rides and a lot of time between… until 1am), but we are safe.  It was a real bummer coming back to the cold, gray snow.  Boo!  I will share some photos soon… I have gotten a lot of requests.  Thanks for the kind emails!

I thought I would give you a heads up about some new books out.

First – Creative With Type.  it is a good one put together by the amazingly Brian Tippetts.  It is full of fabulous eye-candy.  For more info on it and some sneak peeks, click HERE.

Here is another peek – a layout I did for the book.  I put the words with white rub-ons on white cardstock, then painted over them – a fun form of resist.

And another great one is Month by Month Scrapbooking by the fabulous Amanda Probst.  This is a really unique book with incredible projects.  I recommend checking it out!

Guess what?  I have a copy of it to give away.  Just leave a comment here by Wednesday at 11:59pmEDT telling me your current favorite place to go to for inspiration (book, blog, website, etc.) and I will pick a lucky winner.

Off to try and catch up on email.  Eek!  Have a good one.

  1. I love to get a hot cup of coffee and head to the 2 Peas in a bucket site for inspiration – great way to start the day !

  2. My current favorite places to go for inspiration are children’s books. There are some great illustrators out there. Also my girlfriend’s blog -www.cindytobey.blogspot.com , Donna Downey’s blog, and magazines. This is my first time visiting your blog, but I will be back.

  3. my favorite place to go is the cricut message board. The members there are very talented and helpful with anyone that may be experiencing a scrappers block. I love creating keepsakes magazines & all the different idea books available. I also have a lot of scrappers’ blogs on my favorites. I’m currently starting to get into card making so that’s gonna be an all new adventure for me 🙂

  4. I used to get most of my ideas from scrapping and stamping magazines but lately I’ve been getting most of my inspiration online. Tutorials, scrapping and stamping forums and blogs are my favorite things! Unfortunately, this means that I spend a lot of time on the computer and not so much time creating!

  5. Thanks for the super giveaway!! My inspiration comes from EVERYWHERE! I love to go online for new techniques and to see what the latest trends are, but I pretty much stick to what appeals to me, regardless of popularity. I take colors and shapes from nature, and I love vintage designs.

  6. I really enjoy your site, Ali Edwards, Becky Higgins and Freckled and Fun.

It’s my birthday please pick me!!!! 🙂

  7. My inspiration usually comes from you! *LOL* I’ve been trying out different things you as well as the other people from the Hero Arts blogs have been suggesting. I’m lovin’ it!

  8. My inspiration is definitely from blogs. A few from unwanted mail that catches my eye, and Crate & Barrel catalogs. =)

  9. I also like to check out different blogs – both individual’s and manufacturer’s. Some of my favorites are yours, Suzy Plantamura’s and Lisa Dickinson’s as well as Two Peas, Hero Arts and Scrapbook Oasis.

    Welcome back to lovely Ohio!!

  10. Hi, Jennifer! Just love your blog…makes my day every day! This may sound silly, but I get so inspired by floor tile! Just love quilts and whenever I’m in a mall or a fancy bathroom (don’t laugh!) I just have to look at the mosaic and geometric patterns of the floor tiles…really inspires me!

  11. am I still on time?

nonetheless, i’m inspiration comes from 2peasinabucket and ali edwards.
beyond that, its the great outdoors that gives me the serenity that develops the inspiration. 😉

  12. Right now I love the Hero Arts blog, QuicKutz.com and the new Stampin’ Up Catalog for inspiration. My friend Wendy has a fabulous design sense, too. She’s the one I show things to when I am stuck…

  13. Hi Jennifer!

I love the “Exploring in our big backyard” page, those pictures are too cute! It’s giving me cute ideas for a few new pics I have of my son… thanks! I love to visit your blog and Jana’s for inspiration – you guys are awesome! It was this time last year that I was packing and getting ready for my scrapbook weekend away with a few friends and that’s when we met you and Jana. Time flies, doesn’t it? I sure wish I had a weekend planned in my future for CM, I’m missing the peace and quiet, movies, and food! Have a great week, and thanks for awesome chances to win.

  15. Many years ago I drew ads on the computer for a small Insurance directory so one of my favorite places is TV commericals. If you watch closely they use scrolls and lots of good color combinations! Also, I think white space and balance is real important. Have Fun at CHA!

  16. From a 2 Peas lurker/shopper, I have never posted there. I find that they have an array of inspiration in their gallery. If anything, I can always finds something there. Also, to be completely honest, your videos are a big help, and so is your article in CK. I also get good idea from them.

Oh, and the vacation looked wonderful.

  17. I find inspiration from non-scrapbooking catalogs and clothing and even from products I see at work such as wallcovering samples.

  18. Thanks for this wonderful giveaway! I have been in such a scrapping rut lately that I could really use some new inspiration!

  19. I just recently jumped into reading blogs(I know, I am behind times). They are my inspiration right now. Everyday I add another one to my favorites lists. It is addicting. I also love viewing the gallery on Two Peas in a Bucket techniques or
    “sketches” for inspiration.
