Cool links and another giveaway…

Hey, folks!  I have some fun links for you today and a great giveaway.  Here we go…

(BTW: You still have time to enter yesterday's giveaway for the cool wall words HERE.)

First, I wanted to give you all a heads-up about a fun thing 2peas is doing: The 36 Days of Christmas.  Why 36?  Because there are 36 girls on their Garden Girls Design Team.  And each day they are putting up a project by a different girl.  To follow this event, click HERE. Today's project is great – it is by Jen Gallacher.  Check out her elegant holiday set HERE.  Wow.

Next, a friend of mine, Latrice Murphy, was kind enough to ask me to play with a new kit she will have for sale tomorrow HERE on her etsy site. Such fun!  Here are some cards I did with the kit… and I didn't even put a dent into the supplies.

On the "hi" letters, I painted a layer of Tim Holtz's Crackle Paint…

This felt pocket holds a gift card.  So easy to make, and she includes several good colors of felt in the kit.  (This is from Colin to the nice lady who works at the bagel shop we go to. 🙂

And!  Latrice was sweet to send me an extra kit to giveaway here!  Just leave a comment on this post by Saturday at 11:59pmEDT telling me your favorite holiday song and I will pick a winner of this kit…

Have a great day!

  1. It has to be ‘Walking in a Winter wonderland’ We have a CD of Christmas songs called ‘Merry Mixmas’ and they have made a great cover of this one x

  2. Thanks for the chance Jennifer! I love the song by Perry Como – Home For The Holidays although I have not been home on a real holdiay in 9 years due to the military it is a great song.

  3. Hi Jen. I love your blog, especially your video segments. I would have to say that my favorite holiday song is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (as sung by Corey Hart back in the 80’s). It makes me giggle like crazy and I feel like a kid all over again. Other than that, I would have to choose anything from Bing Crosby. It reminds me of watching classics like Bells of St. Marys, Holiday Inn, and White Christmas on TV with my parents and Grandmother every Christmas – a tradition I hope to continue with my family each year. Bing and hot chocolate – what could be better Christmas eve?

  4. My favorite Christmas song would have to be “O Holy Night”. No matter who sings it, the song always seems to give me chills!

  5. My favorite holiday song is ‘Snow’ by Bing Crosby (from Winter Wonderland)… “I want to wash my hands, my face and hair in snow” 🙂

  6. I love what you have done with Latrice’s kit! She is sooo talented, and has such a wonderful eye for putting things together!

My favorite Christmas songs are “Mary Do You Know” by Kenny Rogers and “What Child Is This”.

  7. This was a hard question because I probably have more Christmas music than anything else. I’m choosing: Oh Come All Ye Faithful

  8. my fave Christmas song is 12 days of Christmas by John Denver & the Muppets *giggle* Super cute version!!!I Just love that whole xmas CD that John Denver & the Muppets did together! If you dont have it, you should really get it! my kids love it!!
Hope you have a fabulous thanksgiving!

  9. My favorite holiday song is Little Drummer Boy. Next to follow is I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause.

Have a great holiday. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful cards. 😉

  10. I gotta say it…. the all time classic Mariah Carey “All I Want for Christmas is You”

Admit it, you love it too.

    🙂 Thanks Jennifer!!

  11. I have Sirius’ Holiday Pops station on the TV right now. Daddy and the boys are out cutting Christmas trees. Mmmm- life is good! O’ Holy Night is my all time favorite.

  12. There are so many that are favorites, but I’ll pick “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby…my oldest son (5 1/2) and I love watching the movie, very special to me. Thanks for the great giveaway Jennifer! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  13. There are too many to pick a favorite, but because you asked: #1 would be White Christmas by Bing Crosby, #2 would be The Christmas Song by the Carpenters, #3 Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt, #4 Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano, #5…oh well you get the idea!

  14. Wow, it’s so hard to pick just one, Oh Holy Night and White Christmas and Silent Night and We Wish You a Merry Christmas, oh how I love Christmas music!

  15. Yikes….. I’m so late in posting! What a beautiful giveaway…. Although, it’s tough to choose just one, I’d have to say that I really adore the many versions of “O Holy Night” that I’ve heard in past years. Also during a Winter Jam concert last year, I heard an absolutely amazing version of “Drummer Boy” by Newsong that’s been on my mind alot recently……

  16. Love all the projects. My favorite song is ‘The Christmas Song’. I think that is the name of it. It is the Nat King Cole version of Chestnuts Roasting on a Open Fire. I love it.

  17. My favorite Christmas song is “Silent Night”. We always sing it at our church’s Christmas Eve service once everyone has lite their candles. Love it! 🙂

  18. Yes I like Christmas songs too, everyone at work complains about them I just sing along! I am not sure the exact name of the song but I think it is “Christmas to remember” it was on a show by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. I have the tape and always play it when I am wrapping presents!

  19. I love Christmas music. My car has XM radio and it is set on Christmas music from Thanksgiving well into the New year. My favourite would have to be Carol of the Bells.
