Spreading some goodness: a card and giveaway…

Well, I just found out that my favorite cardmaker is having a birthday today.  So, I thought I would post a birthday card for her, since it obviously won't make it in the mail on time. :)  Tami, hope you have a great one.  You deserve it.

And, everyone, you MUST go see Tami's gallery at 2peas.  She is amazing.  You can find it HERE.

Here is the card I made for ya, Tami.  It isn't anything fabulous, but please know I adore you. 🙂

052008 Tami

Supplies:
Hero Arts birthday background
Imaginisce flower stamp
Colorbox Chalk Ink
Tim Holtz Crackle Paint
Melissa Frances rub-on greeting
Scenic Route chipboard butterfly and ledger paper
Other: scallop chipboard, jute and sewing machine

Happy birthday, Tami!

And, how about a giveaway?  I have these font cds from Autumn Leaves that I haven't used.  I got all the font files directly, so thought I would pass these on to a few of you.  There are some fabulous fonts on here!  There 6 cds.  Instead of sending them all to one person, how about I draw six names?  Just leave a comment here by Wednesday at 11:59pmPST telling me something that made you smile today.  I love to hear stuff like that.  🙂

And how is this for a bad picture of the prizes?  Ha… was too lazy to go upstairs to get a different lens and a better location.

Giveaway

Have a good night!

  1. What made me smile today your sweet FONT giveaway. I sure could use this sweet candy. Your card is so cute and love the colors and layout. Thanks for a chance.

  2. Smile! The sun is shining and the tips of green leaves beginning to emerge on the trees across the bold blue sky is awesome! Smile!

  6. Having lunch with my best friend and spending almost the whole time sharing stamping and card-making ideas!

  7. I was reading a man’s blog today about what his 15 yr. old did to get in trouble at school. In the thread, he mentioned the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyers (a young adult vampire book LOL). I asked him if he’d read it, and he said “She has read all three books to me as we drove to school each day, so kind of.”

That made me smile. Because little kids do sweet, cutesy stuff that make us smile all the time. I loved that this 15 yr. old (who tried her father’s patience at times) read three entire novels to her father on the ride to school each day. That is so heartwarming (and gives me hope for when my little ones are teens!).

  9. The look of surprise and success on my daughter’s face when she got her first drivers license in the mail today, made me smile and very proud.

  10. I am a science high school teacher and today one of my students aksed if he could talk to the class about something. HE talked about the earthquake that happened in China and gave facts that stunned my students. He is wanting to start a fundraiser in the school and the community to raise money to help the people affected and is talking to the principal, the local stores and the city to see what he can get going. It was so nice to see our young kids thinking about the world around them and how they can make a difference. He made a difference for me today.

    Cheers, Paula

  11. My 16 years old daughter makes me smile every time she speaks, she is just so funny. She’s a burrnette, but according to all of the blond jokes I’ve heard, I think she should have been blond….

  12. I went on my daughter’s first Kindergarten field trip today! She had a great time and so did I. We had a great day together and smiled ALOT!

  13. I just wanted to say I recently discovered your blog and I’ve been watching the videos, I learned so much!! It is very educational, so thank you for that 🙂

What made me smile today? I made my own bread from scratch, internal jokes and fun with coworkers that always make my day lighter and a holiday coming up. It was a good day.

  14. Okay, this is more weird than funny. We drove by a local cemetary today that had a big sign advertising plots for sale: BUY ONE – GET ONE FREE! We could not believe what we were seeing!

  15. My older twin daughter, 20 months, keeps looking at this Fisher Price Lift the flap book and it’s of Santa’s workshop. She opens the closet door where an elf is standing by with his hands to his face as all of Santa’s mail spills out. My daughter always brings the book to me and says “Oh no!” as she’s holding the closet door open. It’s the cutest thing.

  16. Today I had my prayers answered completely and to the letter. My husband got a new job closer to home and more money!! that is exactly what I asked God for and I sure did smile when my hubby called and said he got the job. Peg

  18. I was looking for a photo for a layout and I came across a photo from my wedding from about 14 years ago. It’s a black and white candid of my husband and I right after we came out of the church. off to the side of the photo is my Grandmother leaning on the stone pier. It’s a really quirky photo (almost looks like an alubum cever or something) and everytime I look at it I just focus on my Grandma and it makes me smile everytime I see it. She passed away about 5 years ago. I ended up choosing that photo for my layout.

  19. What made me smile is seeing my 2 year old playing with his new Steve McQueen little car…he was pushing it all around the house this evening. Even fell asleep in his crib with it…

  20. While attending the May Crowning ceremony at my daughter’s school, my 4 year old son asked me (in a whisper) “Is that God singing” when the 6th grade began to sing a hymn. It was so sweet!

  21. I just found your website and it looks like it is full of good stamping information. That made me smile.

  22. What a fun give away – you can never have too many fonts.

Watching my son stop and smell the flowers at the nursery today (many, many times) so sweet.

  23. My six-year-old daughter singing “Howl-a-lu-LA very loudly in the frozen foods section of the grocery store! (It’s really easy for me to imagine Jesus laughing with joy at hearing those “howl-a-lu-LAs” of hers.)

  24. My 6mo boy blew a raspberry for the first time today then giggled about it, that definitely made me smile! (my 18mo neice who then spent 45 minutes blowing raspberries at him to get him to do it again made me laugh, so all in all a good day whether or not i win prizes)

  25. Cool Givaway ! Something that makes me smile everyday. Kissing my beautiful 9 (going to be 10 soon – can’t believe it) year old daughter to wake her up for school. That moment just before, when she’s still somewhere in a dream. The look of peace on her face just makes everything right in the world, if just for a moment. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent and that of others. Quite an inspiration.

  26. I smiled today when my Shih Tzu/Maltese let a cat rub up against on our morning walk. He seems to think he’s a Pit Bull when on the lead!
Love your blog Jennifer! Just discovered it through Hero Arts.
