Happy Momma’s Day!

Happy Momma’s Day to everyone!  Hope you have a great one.  I usually like to spend the day planting flowers with my mom, but it is too early this year to plant and it is pouring buckets.  So, instead, I got to go to Ikea and pick up the last bit of stuff for my reorganizing. I guess that comes in a close second. πŸ™‚  I am going to do some scrapbooking, too.  Seeing this stuff on your desk is a good thing…

Coffee

Supplies (hee):
Starbucks Peppermint Mocha
Fiskars super-sharp scissors
Colorbox Chalk Ink (the best)
New stamp from Hero Arts coming soon…

I thought it would be fun to do a giveaway to celebrate the day.  And since every momma deserves flowers, I am doing a giveaway with lots of flowery-kind-of stuff.  RAK includes lots of fancy Prima flowers, Autumn Leaves ribbon, epoxy stickers and clear stamps, American Crafts flowers, flower felt and some cute stickers from Tinkering Inks’ new Al Fresco line (which I LOVE the colors of)…

  1. Hi there,

I spent the day with my husband and his brother who came from Costa Rica! We enjoyed a fun dinner visiting. EArlier I walked to my local store to stand in line for a free geranium and a chance to win a $100 gift certificate. I didn’t win but it was a nice walk downtown!

  2. I got to sleep in. My husband made breakfast in bed. My younger son gave me a white rose plant. He was quite proud of himself. It’s been a wonderful Mother’s Day. πŸ™‚

  3. A great day with pleanty of sun just grilling and chewing the fat with friends and family. It was very relaxing. Couldn’t ask for a better day. Hate to see it end.
    HAPPY MOTHERS DAY EVERYONE!

  4. My Mom is in town for Mother’s Day this year. I do not think we have spent Mother’s Day together in the past 10 years. My DH has planned a ladies brunch for my Mom, a friend and me. After that we will hang out with the kids at home. In all it should be a fun and relaxing day (except for my poor husband who has to fly out of town on business tonight after catering to the ladies!) Happy Mother’s Day everyone!

  5. Happy Mother’s Day!
Today happens to be our wedding anniversary also so we went to church and out for a delicious breakfast. I got to spend the day watching chick flicks and stamping and then we went out for a nice supper. Great day!

  6. Hi there! We didn’t do much for fun today since my husband had to work. The kids and I hung out–cleaning, playing outside, and laying around. Oh yeah–and we made the best brownies! Chocolate always make the day better!

  7. Happy Mother’s Day! I had a wonderful day. It started with sleeping in and then my 3 year old helped Daddy make breakfast for me (French Toast, bacon, and apple slices, along with a cup of coffee). What a great way to start the day and despite all of the rain, it was still a beautiful day.

  8. Happy Mother’s Day Jennifer. I had a wonderful day (in Australia it was yesterday). I did have to cancel lunch with my mother as my duties could not be put on hold with a sick child in our house. I received some lovely handmade gifts from my children and a group painting that I will hang on a wall. Had a great day with just my immediate family, hanging around the house, I also got a little scrapbooking in. Hope that you have had a great day.

  9. I am just relaxing in jammies and watching a bunch of stuff I have Tivoed while scrapping. My boys went with my husband out of town to see Grandma, so I got some avocado egg rolls and cheesecake for dinner tonight! My mom is off on Tim Holtz’s cruise, so we went out yesterday for lunch with my cousin and her brand new baby (so much fun to celebrate Mother’s Day with a brand new baby to smell!).

  10. today my 3yr &6yr old sons cleaned their room(gift enough),hubby did laundry while my sister and i went to archivers. it should have been a 20min drive we sat on the highway for 1 1/2hr due to flooding. oh well we enjoyed our shopping trip and we did our part to stimulate the economy.a good day!!! happy mothers day.

  11. Hi Jennifer-Happy Mothers Day. I’m not a mom, but I went to church with my mom and then to lunch at my sister’s house. Hope you had a great day.

  12. Well, the day is pretty much over, but this morening I went to brunch with my two girlies and my mother-in-law (my mom is out of town on vacation). We then came home and spent some time with “daddy”–DH to me πŸ™‚ After that, we went to eat at Uno’s Pizzeria and then headed off to Target for a little shopping. My three-year-old DD told me “Happy Mudder’s Day” many, many times today and I got lots of sweet kisses from my three-year-old and my eight-month-old. Great day! Happy Mother’s day to all of you as well! πŸ™‚

  13. Happy Mother’s Day! We all slept in, had a leisurely breakfast, watched a movie and worked a jigsaw puzzle. And then my far-away daughter called. A very nice day for me. Thanks for the blog candy offer.

  16. I had planned to plant and scrap today, but alas, weather intervened. As did the fact that I messed up my knee last night and can’t put any weight on it, so crutches and ice, ER trips and chick movies, “can you get me” and naps, that is what I did in the last 24 hours. πŸ˜›

  17. Happy Mother’s Day!!
I made pancakes for my family for breakfast with strawberries. I wanted to make sure they had a something nutritious to eat. :o)
Later my husband took me to lunch and my son took me to see the movie “Iron Man”. If you get a chance to see it, make sure you stay through the credits!

  21. I am going to stay in my jammies all day (make that stayed), watched movies I wanted to, picked the iTunes songs I wanted to listen to and enjoyed a breakfast, lunch and dinner made my children and my husband. (which in and of itself was hilarious to watch/listen to)

  24. I went to lunch with my mom and dad (with my hubby and kids) and then we took it easy this evening. Got a Mother’s Day call from my grown son…so that made my day!

  25. Happy Mother’s Day to you too. Just missed the time cutoff but thought I’d post anyway. We all went to church this morning and when we got back, my husband cooked for brunch. That was a nice treat! While the kids napped, we watched the movie Juno. If you’ve never seen it, you’ve got to watch it. We went out for dinner and checked out our newly expanded mall. It was nice not having to cook one meal today πŸ™‚ and just spend time with my husband and two boys.

  26. Happy Mother’s Day what a fun day it looks like you had. Mine didn’t go as planned but was a great day. Lunch and then a walk by the bay – great family day.

Not much different from any other day- my kids treat me like a queen most days of the year- being a mom is the best job in the world!

  29. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
I hope everyone had a wonderful day. My own day was full of smiles, although at the end of the day it had turned into a sardonic grin πŸ˜‰

  30. what a nice day for you…..My dh gave me a silhouette. After that downhill……….dishwasher and washer died. Both are less that 3 years old. I am now wishing for that Starbucks. Happy mothers day!

  31. Our Mother’s day was yesterday and I had to work. It was my one day of the week to sleep in but I woke up early! so I got up and finished my Mums card. worked all day and then came home and got the evening meal ready and some ironing done. Just another day here really. Kids said happy mothers day and Laura made a card, but it wasn’t colored or anything!

  35. Happy Mother’s Day to you Jennifer!

I shared my day with my Mil, my mum and my grandma. First it was off to a farmers market with my MIL then a cooked breakfast cooked by DH and the kidlets. A visit to my grandma in hospital and then afternoon tea with my mum. On the way home we visited DH’s niece and her 3 day old baby daughter. So lovely to spend my day with so many mums.

  36. Happy Belated Mother’s Day Jennifer! (Although it’s Mother’s Day EVERYDAY to me.)
The kids, hubby and I, along with my best friend and her family spent the morning at the park with a train ride through Griffith Park. My older son finally rode a pony for the first time…it was so great. The little one tried but immediately started crying and that was the end of that. The night before though, my best friend and I made dinner for our families and my mom and dad. It was fun and delicious and my husband kept referring to us as “Lucy and Ethel” in the kitchen.

  37. OMG ! I am so excited. Either I’ve had my head in the sand or I’ve just not stumbled upon it until now…YOU HAVE A WEB PAGE!!!!!I’ve loved your stuff for forever now and my BOS is full of your cards and layouts. Still had to cook though. Hope you had a wonderful one too.

  38. Glad to hear you were able to salvage your Mother’s Day. It rained like crazy here, too. Spent the day surfing for great ideas for projects and creating a large “to buy” list. The internet can be a dangerous place! πŸ™‚
