How-To Video: Tim Holtz Crackle Paint

Hey, everyone! (ETA… winners of the drawing will be posted Sunday evening.)

I thought I would pass on some info about a favorite product of mine: Tim Holtz Crackle Paint.  This stuff is so cool and the results are gorgeous.  To top it off, the colors are so stinkin’ yummy… gotta have them all. πŸ™‚  I have used them on cards before, but decided to do a page… making it a perfect time to shoot a video.

There are so many great and much cooler things you can do with this paint, and you can find many of them on Tim’s blog.  What I did is quite simple, but I love the look.  And it is fun to use, too!

(BTW… a few things: First, sorry, I have used this photo before, but it is a favorite of mine.  I created this project to hang on my scrapbook room wall.  Also, the video is short… I cut out all the boring stuff… hee.  Finally, the music is my brother-in-law.  I love it and figured he won’t sue me for using it. πŸ™‚

In case you can’t see the video, you can find it HERE.

They sure grow up fast, don’t they?  Afraid to look away because I might miss something.  πŸ™‚

Have a good Sunday…

  7. If I had a picture like that of our baby, I would scrap it more than once too.
I love seeing this video…cool to see you putting a page together. Those paints are way cool…what a way to color all those raw chipboards! The vintage paper technique was cleaver too, love this page!! Thanks for sharing.

  8. Hi Jennifer, the video and song were great! Thanks for sharing this great technique. Question for you, in the video you had a plastic case with your alphabet stamps in it (stamps were standing up) -what is that? It looks really functional. Thanks so much, Stacey

  9. What a beautiful page! Gorgeous picture! ‘Don’t Blink’ is right on. A friend and I were commenting this morning about how true the saying is about parenting that goes “The days are long but the years are short.” My first baby is 5 years old and I can’t for the life of me figure out when that happened. πŸ™

  10. Jennifer–really enjoying your site–some great ideas! Thank you so much. I love that photo of your family as well-so sweet.

  16. Jennifer- where did you get/ what is the container that I saw in the video that houses your mini alphabets? Keeping them in their original boxes is such a pain!
    thx
…once again you make things look so easy!

  17. I love this layout so much, the sentiment and the design. My baby is 5 foot 10 inches now and I can still smell his baby smell in my head. πŸ™‚
I loved the video too.. so well done, now I’ll have to get some crackle paint.
Do you have a link to what classes you are teaching around Ohio? I know you teach at Syao in Cin., but I can’t find the class list there.
I’m missing classes something fierce, although your videos are helping. πŸ™‚
    Keep it up! (pretty please!)

oh, the the music was awesome!… maybe a link to some we could buy? I loved it.

  18. Jennifer, you constantly amaze me – what talent you have. Can I come live inside your head for just one day? You ROCK!

Wow!!! I see something not in my sb room. I will have to pick this paint up at SYAO soon. The paint looks easy to use with little ones around too. Great layout and the photo is perfect to remind you how children grow so fast. Very touching photo too.
