Video: Felt Rose How-To

Hope you all had a good weekend. We spent most of it getting ready for the baby. And we now have diapers. That’s all you really need, right? Ha.

I have a video to share with you today – one I did for the kind folks at Simon Says Stamp. I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone die with felt to create roses. (Gotta love when a die can be used for two completely different things.) I also used the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit of the Month. There is a great piece of chevron acetate/transparency in the kit and I show how to create a card window pane with it. Simple.

It’s hard to see that see-through window pane on the front of the card. The video shows it better…

Oh, and see those cute leaves? Those are cut from THIS fabric border sticker from Amy Tan. I LOVE THESE. So perfect with any style flower and there are lots in one package. Just cut them apart.

I also mentioned in the video the smaller Fiskars Trimmer for cardmakers. I never really thought I would like it, but it is the perfect size for cardmakers. (Better price, too.) I use this one all the time now. It has that wire guide like the original larger one. Love…

Thanks for stopping by. Time to get to best and give this overly-stretched belly a rest. Night.

Holiday Video

Hope you all are doing well. I also hope you are checking out Tim’s 12 Tags of Christmas. He has rocked it this year with techniques – wow. Hoping to get some time to play. Hoping!

In the meantime, I wanted to share a video I did for Two Peas In a Bucket a few weeks ago. It shows the Hero Arts + Sizzix products in action:

See you soon with some winner announcements and more shares.

Hero Arts + Sizzix is here!

I am so very excited that the new Hero Arts and Sizzix die+stamp and embossing folder+stamp combos are now in stock HERE!

Here is a video of them in action. They simply rock.

And here is a tiny peek at one of the die cut pieces. (Can’t show more of this card as it is from my Inspiration Showcase class.)

And here is a super quick card I did awhile back. The background is white heat embossed then dry embossed with the matching folder. The trees were cut with a die, too.

You can see the dry embossing here…

These products are so easy to use and are reasonably priced. You can use them with all die cut machines. To see them all, click HERE. Here are my favorite embossing folder + stamp combos: The ferns, the holly and the flowers

And my favorite stamp + die combos: The flower and butterfly, the flowers and the leaves

Love ‘em.
