Those adorable flowers and playful die cut are new from Paper Smooches. (You can see their new releases HERE. So fun, as always!) The background is one of my favorites from Impression Obsession. And those colors? Those, my friends, are new colors of Hero Arts Shadow Inks – Mint Julep and Fresh Peach. Yes… you need them. I used the Fresh Peach to color the die cut. I added in some Soft Granite, too.

A tiny dot of Glossy Accents at the flower centers and some Wink of Stella Glitter Marker on the die cut adds some fun shine…

I really wanted that detailed die cut to pop up off the card. The best way to do this? Cut 6 of them in white and glue them all together. Then glue the colored one on top. Voila! It now has dimension…

And that is what I was going for when I put this into my son’s lunch. (He never has a treat in there, so I am sure he was thrilled.)

The best part? This was so easy to make. (For more information on it, you can head over the the Paper Crafts Connections blog. There are some other kids ideas there, too.)

Start with a 10 ¼” x 4” piece of cardstock (I used Bazzill) and add score lines at 2”, 2 ¼”, 6 ¼”, and 6 ½”. That is it! Just fold it up and you have a cookie holder. I also added a die cut window with the new Lawn Fawn Puffy Star die to the front panel so you could see the cookie inside. Here is what it looks like unfolded…

After I put a cookie in, I used an old Thicker letter sticker to hold it closed.

I had to add some stamping, of course… with a repeated Hero Arts circle (a great image!) and a Paper Smooches pencil. And I stretched a die cut banner (with a computer-generated greeting using the Ever After free font) across the star opening.

Here is a look at the awesome Lawn Fawn Puffy Star nesting dies set I used for the window. Adorable, huh?

And the repeated circles? It is from this Hero Arts set. Lots of good images here for building backgrounds on many styles of cards.

So this whole month, Paper Smooches is showing off their CHA release. Every single day, their blog will have links to new products and cards. They will also be giving away $500 worth of product! You know how much I love the fun and whimsical hand-drawn look of Paper Smooches clear stamps. Well, now they have broadened their product line to include dies (YAY!) and wood mount stamps! I am on cloud 9. My friend Kim at PS sent me their many new goodies and they are incredible. They all have the look that is true and signature to PS.

Today I get to use and share with you my absolute favorite product from their big new release that will be available everywhere 2/1 – the Spiritual Sampler stamp set. This is filled with great Christian greetings. Playful yet encouraging. I love them.

So the greeting on this is from the Spiritual Sampler. Boy… I can see myself using this greeting a lot.

Oh, and the background was created with an older Paper Smooches set – the Daisies and Paisleys. I white heat embossed everything on watercolor paper and then added coloring with my Inktense pencils. I made sure to use a lot of water with them for a watercolor-look. It really is soft in real life…

And I decided to make another quick one with another greeting from the Spiritual Sampler. There are lots of words you can piece together to create your own message… which I used here…

It’s amazing how easily a card can come together when you have an awesome image. And with greetings like this? So easy. I just used a rainbow of Hero Arts inks…

Just popping in to share a quick card I did using some new stamps. If you took the Kick Start class, you will recognize this circle. (I love saving unused pieces and using them for something else… like an ornament.) Since I had this assembled piece on hand, this card took me 4 minutes. Yahoo!

Added a piece of Ranger Foil to the top of the ornament and a glitter heart for more shine. And the diagonal white pieces are floating so you can see through it – using the Air Vent Die. Love the look it gives.

The background is a fun one from Hero Arts. It works for many styles of cards… especially where a lot of the background is showing like this one.

Quick card share today. This one was in the recent Paper Crafts issue (which, by the way, is a really good issue!) and a few people emailed me to ask how it was done. So here it is…

Super easy. I added double-sided tape to cardstock. Then I took off the release paper, added green glitter, burnished it well and cut it into a tree. Did it again for a trunk piece. (Supplies are listed below.)

Easy.

Oh, and a Studio Calico wood veneer star colored with Copics for the top.

LOVE LOVE LOVE that Paper Smooches set. “Blessings?” That is one of my favorite words, and therefore favorite greetings.

Hello my lovely minions – er, that is, blog readers.

Today’s card is pretty adorable, if I do say so myself. It features a funny alien and the best greeting off all time, along with a rather awesome row of planets. I dedicate this card to those of you who have a male friend. Oh, wait. That is everyone!

And without further ado, let’s get started!

Today? Today I am going to shake things up and list the steps…

Step 1: Stamp the rocket, the alien, and the three planets (3 times each) onto Neenah white cardstock using Memento Black Ink.
Step 2: Using Copics Markers, color in all of the above, and meticulously cut all of them out. Set aside.
Step 3: Cut out a piece of the Amy Tangerine paper (the black and white chevron) to fit on half of the card, and – using adhesive – attach it to a green card.
Step 4: Attach the planets to the card using foam adhesive. To make it more interesting, use the foam adhesive to also put the planets on in varying levels. You can use Stickles here to embellish the planets. Then, attach the rocket to the Amy Tangerine chevron paper. Embellish with Stickles.
Step 5: Attach the little alien to the top of the planets using adhesive… on whatever planet you want. Embellish eyes with Stickles.
Step 6: Using a red Copics Marker, make the red lines that go behind the space ship, and cover with a line of stickles.
Step 7: Stamp the greeting – “Get Better in Warp Speed” directly on the car.

And voila, you’re done!

Hi again, my pretties! It’s Day 2 of Kay’s Blog Week and I’m back with another round of fabulousness.

Today’s card was inspired by a beautiful Paper Smooches stamp set that I found depicting domestic cleaning supplies in a quirky, cute way to say “I love you.” Luckily, this is pretty much the cutest stamp set ever and I am more than proud to explain to you guys how I made my adorably cheesy card.

First, I stamped the washing machine, detergent, spray bottle, iron, vacuum, and broom (whew!) onto white cardstock with Black Memento Ink. I then colored them all in with Copic Markers. Next, I applied Glossy Accents to create texture on many parts of the images. Stickles also made a great add-on texture to the spray bottle and vacuum – nice for a change in pace. I added gemstones to the washing machine to create a more three dimensional look and define the colors on the knobs. I stamped “I Was Swept Off My Feet” onto white cardstock with black ink and punched it out with the word bubble punch. (Bummer – it is discontinued.) Finally, I added it all to the card with adhesive.

And voila, I have a cute, quirky card to send to someone I love! And, you can claim to others that you spent the day with a vacuum, iron and washing machine. Bonus!

Today I have a card up on the Paper Crafts Connections blog showing how to stamp on glitter. Yes, it is possible! Be sure to head THERE to read a bit about how it is done.

Here is another idea using this technique, but with a different spin…

First, I covered white cardstock with a piece of Be Creative Tape Sheet (double sided adhesive). I then sprinkled on Warm Highlight Glitter Ritz Micro Fine Glitter and burnished it (rubbed well) with a bone folder. This presses the glitter in good, making it look like shiny velvet and also keeping it from rubbing off. (It really does work! Love this glitter – it is unique!) Because it is micro fine, it gets very smooth and subtle. Lovely.

I then stamped the new Paper Smooches fire image on top of the glitter with Jet Black Archival Ink and added coloring with Copic Markers. When using Copics on this glitter, I just kinda dab the tip to color and it blends quickly and easily when you add other colors. If you color back and forth too much it may bleed a bit. But if it does? No worries. Just “erase” the extra color with your colorless blender. You can also use Sharpies for this coloring, too.

Looks so cool in real life.

The background is the Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock – such a great subtle color that looks good as a backdrop for bold colors. And I embossed it with THIS great embossing folder.
