I used the same My Favorite Things Cheerful Blessings stamp set I used in my last post. This stamp set truly makes me giddy. You can now get it at My Favorite Things or Simon Says Stamp.

I also used a MFT border stamp to create the pattern on the bottom. Although there are three colors in the pattern, I only used two inks. I stamped the bottom with Butter Bar yellow ink. I then stamped above it with the same ink… and then directly on top of it with Pale Tomato light red ink. (This gives the orange color. It is easy to double stamp with clear stamps!) Then on the top I just used the Pale Tomato. This layering of ink colors is great for getting more colors out of the inks you have.

And the hearts? Just punched them and added a bit of glitter with my Wink of Stella pen. Finally, I covered if with Glossy Accents for shine. I tell ya – these are eye-catching in real life…

Today I had a bit of time to make some cards. That felt good.

I was so happy to use a new set I am crazy about – Cheerful Blessings from My Favorite Things. Lots of greetings that I love so much. Oh, and sorry I didn’t warn you to wear sunglasses…

This card was quick to do. I stamped the background with the Hero Arts Radiant Banner stamp and Butter Bar Ink. I then painted over the rays with orange and yellow Wink of Stella glitter brushtip markers. (This gives subtle, delicate shine that rocks. It is excellent to use on simple cards.) I then die cut an orange circle and embossed the new My Favorite Things Cheerful Blessing image in white. (LOVE THIS GREETING. Sorry. That deserves capital – lol.) And finally I put a light coating of clear Wink of Stella glitter brushtip marker over the orange piece and rubbed it away quickly for just a bit of shine…

Bright colors. A bit of shine. The perfect message. I am hoping this card has everything it needs to make a friend smile.

So today I have a fun dimensional teacher tag. Heck – you could stick this fun 3D apple on just about anything. I used products from My Favorite Things… and have a discount code for them below!

So this project uses the great 100lb cardstock from My Favorite Things. I am really pleased with this paper and will be using it a lot. For all of you looking for a new source of cardstock to love, I would give it a try. You can get a sampler pack HERE…

I also used the MFT felt. I really like felt, but have only found a couple of good quality felts in good colors. This is my favorite – hands down. I used the Steel Grey in the video. (It is heathered but most of them are not.) This felt is perfect for die cutting…

And if you like the idea of a product line that all matches, MFT has that. The inks match the felt… which matches the cardstock… which matches the buttons and ribbon. Delightful. Oh, and they always seem to be in stock. Woot! (They only sell most of their supplies like this direct.)

This My Favorite Things kraft paper really is delicious…

Layering stamped images really is a great way to give the look of dimension without the bulk. And that flower stamp set? Gorgeous.

Oh, and in the video I talked about three kraft papers. The lightest in color is Neenah Desert Storm Kraft and the darkest is the Hero Arts Kraft. The one I used here – the My Favorite Things Kraft – is right in the middle… the perfect middle ground shade. It is also heavier in weight (100 lb). LOVE. All three are must-haves…

Today I have a unique shaped card for you…

I created this using some fun cloud dies (more on that in a second). And to turn it into a card, I die cut a second large cloud from white… scored it 3/4″ from the top… applied adhesive above the score line… and added it to the back of the big cloud on the card’s front. That score line acts as a hinge to allow it to open and close…

The sun was easy peasy. After punching a large circle, I adhered it to another piece of patterned paper. I then took a small circle punch and punched around it, making the curved rays.

Now… back to the clouds. They rock, eh? All of the clouds – all four sizes – are from this incredible Jumbo Die Stax. Adore this set. You will be seeing it a lot more… and I used them yesterday. (Yep – it works with all die cut machines.)

I used a variety of patterned papers on the clouds and sun. And to give them all a defined edge, I added a bit of Distress Ink (Perfect Peacock and Wild Honey) to edges with an Ink Blending Tool. This really makes a BIG difference in helping the card to pop.

The greeting? That was computer-generated. (Cheater cheater pumpkin eater! Ha. I love to cheat by using my own messages.)

I thought I would share my last projects for my guest spot over at My Favorite Things. I adore those folks – they are so nice. SO nice. (And their products are made in the US – you know I love that.) For both of these cards, I used the die from the Die-namics Framed Greetings Die and Stamp Set, just oriented differently.

For this first one, I stamped the mailbox, colored it with Copics and then coated it with Glossy Accents. Once it was dry, I stamped over the whole piece with the background. Glossy Accents are fabulous for resist!

Making mini cards is such fun…

I colored that strip on the top of the card with a matching Copic Marker. And this little girl is actually holding mail in her hands, but I masked it off and tucked flowers in instead…

I used a tiny dot of Black Enamel Accents for the eyes. Gives it more life.

So the girl and mailbox are actually from the same stamp. I just cut them apart and did a bit of masking. So fun to get more from your stamps…

By the way, that adorable green dotted paper is from Hero Arts. It is heavy-weight paper with a white back, so it is perfect to cut into note cards. Love it. And 2Peas is selling all the patterns by the sheet instead of in the packs. Click HERE to see the yummy rainbow of colors…

Wanted to pop in and share some fun I am having over at My Favorite Things. I am their May Fabulous Friend, sharing a few projects throughout the month. HERE is my first:

I used their fun Rolled Daisy Die-namics for this with vellum. LOVE this die. I intentionally kept the flower formed so the center had a high hole in it. (Wanted lots of dimension.) I put a foam dot in the center and a Copic-colored pearl on top. This die rocks.

Here is what the rolled daisy die looks like. Kinda funny looking, but it works great… like a rolled rose. (You can find it HERE.)

See that white die cut on the card? It is THIS one, just cut in half and spread apart for a new look.

HERE is the second My Favorite Things card I created…

I covered my die cut hearts with Glossy Accents for shine. I just love the look of layered dies…

Here is the thing – I am VERY picky when it comes to hearts. And these hearts? They are perfecto. They are from THIS stamp and die set. Look at all the cute pieces. (You can find it HERE.) I’m in love…
