Years ago when I was a full-time scrapbooker, I met a lot of kind people on the 2Peas message board. One was Debbi, who hosted challenges based on my books. Debbi now is over on the CSI Challenge Blog and asked me if I would be a guest. I had to say yes – she had always been so wonderful to me.

But this was tough for me! I hadn’t scrapbooked in a very long time. Very long. And it wasn’t easy. However, I am so glad I did it. I realized I missed working with photos. (More on that below.)

Here is what I created – my first Lila page…

I used various wafer thin dies… and used the words to a song I sing to her every time I put her down for a nap.

And another… using all photos from my iPhone…

One thing is for sure – I am very rusty when it comes to scrapbooking. And I am not “on trend” with what all the scrapbookers are doing these days. And I don’t really like what I created. But doing these pages made me realize something – - I need to scrapbook my photos. But not like I used to. In a new way. I will be sharing this journey with you a bit soon. I originally wasn’t going to, as I try to keep this blog for cardmaking. But I think it will be fun to share sometimes what I will be doing – a card maker and stamper’s approach to scrapbooking. Stay tuned.

(And by putting this on my blog, I am being held accountable – lol.)

I am working on moving my office (still) and have uncovered a ton of ribbon. There is a lot of good ribbon and trim here… just more than I have space for in my new room.

Awhile back I sold boxes of crafting goodies. And now that I am moving into my new craft space, I am uncovering more goodness that needs a new, loving home.

Since I will be putting boxes of goodies together here and there over the new few weeks, I can’t put them for sale all at once. So I think the best way is this…

If you are interested in purchasing a box of crafting goodies, please leave a comment on this post saying so. In the comment, please let me know which type of goodies you would be interested in buying (stamps, embellishments, punches, paper or all). When I have a box ready to sell, I will randomly pick a person interested in those goodies from the comments on this post. I’ll then contact them to offer the purchase, share more about what is for sale and state the price. (I feel this was better then having them sell quickly to only the people who were online when I sold them. I have sold both ways in the past and this way seems to work better.) If I contact you and you have changed your mind or are not interested, no worries – I can pick someone else.

The boxes will vary, but will all be stuffed very full. The prices will be a good value. I promise – all good stuff for a really good price. I just want these goodies to go to someone who can use them! (You can see examples of what I have sold in the past HERE.)

If you have visited my blog before, you know I enjoy finding ways to get more out of the products I have. Two of the cards I shared on the Hero Arts blog last week are good examples of getting more from a stamp. So… I took THIS butterfly collage image (a favorite of mine) and made a girly card from it…

Then I used that same butterfly stamp for a manly card. But I covered the butterfly with a big clock image (from THIS great masculine set), giving it a different look…

Yay! A completely different look. Just cover up part of a collage image and you have a new look.

So we spent the weekend purging and moving around stuff in our house to get ready for our remodel and the baby. (Yes – both at once – I am nuts.) While doing so, I put together a big box of stamps. 35+ stamps… most are backgrounds or clear sets. I also threw in several new inks and some markers. And a few other things. These are all good products – I just had doubles or needed the space. The box is on sale for $90, which includes shipping in the US. (Out of US will have to pay extra. I have been getting a lot of questions about our next Online Card Class. It is a good one – taught by my friend Tim Holtz.

Each box will have a good size stack of 12×12 paper (Basic Grey, etc.), many stamps (wood, clear, alpha sets and such), embellishments, an ink or two, etc. Some may have a punch, 6×6 paper pad or favorite paints, etc. Most is product that has never been used… some stamps have been used… only a few letter sticker sheets are missing a few letters. Some product is older, some is newer. But I promise there is good stuff.

I have 4 boxes for $45.00 each – with free US shipping. Trust me – the goodies in these boxes add up to a lot more than this cost.

We are about to start a pretty decent sized remodel here at the small McGuire household. Part of what we are doing is moving my studio up from a big anything-goes basement area to a smaller more-office-like area upstairs. I am craving smaller – more contained, more compact, more accessible, less overwhelming. This also means I have a ton to purge! Some of this is product I received directly from companies. This will be donated, as I don’t feel it is right to sell. But I also have a lot of goodies I have purchased that need new homes, too. All of it is good crafty stuff – I just have too much of it.

So! I am selling some boxes of goodies here. I have done this in the past, but was inspired by Kristina (thanks your your help, K) to get some stuff out the door sooner than later. The money I receive from this will cover the costs of the Cards That Care Card Drive I did last month.
