I have two simple cards… cards that take my back to my childhood. I was obsessed with rainbows as a kid. Especially rainbow stickers. Ha.

So today I decided to make two rainbow-y cards for the fun of it. Well, honestly, I was just dying to use THIS heart border die from Memory Box. I lovey it.

I cut this from white Neenah cardstock. This die cuts the outline (which I colored black) and the inside hearts (which I colored with my Copics). After coloring, I pieced it back together like a puzzle. So cool. Would have looked better with some Glossy Accents on the black, but I was in a hurry…

Another fast one up next. I die cut the border from watercolor paper. (The only reason I used watercolor paper was because it was what was sitting in front of face. Ha.) Before I took apart all the pieces, I scribbled over it with my Copics, blending quickly from color to color. I then took out the center and just adhered the outline border to a white card. And those cute colored pearls? Doodlebug.

Here is a closer look at that die. Lovely, eh? Such intricate cutting. Oh, and here is another must-have border die that makes the cutest little hearts…

Great dies.

And the stamps are from two sets that I am enjoying lately. One is the new Simply Said set from Paper Smooches. I like their greetings because they just seem to fit so well on cards. The other is THIS sunshine set from Ali Edwards and Technique Tuesday. Great messages on there.

Next, I just wanted to share some cards I did for Paper Crafts. They are simple thank you notes created with holiday stamps. This is a great way to extend the life of those stamps! And I adore these cutie stamps from Avocado Arts…

Simple simple simple. Just a bit of Copic Marker coloring and a touch of glitter with a glitter pen, and you are done. Now it is time to get these thank yous in the mail!

Here is a card I did with her new Noah’s Ark stamp. I added a computer-generated greeting – seemed fitting for a friend who is going through some rough waters…

I colored it with Copics and then stamped over it with Pumice Stone Distress Ink and the Hero Arts Envelope Pattern. This bit of stamping adds the look of fun texture to the colored piece. And I finished it off with Black Enamel Accents on the eyes and Rock Candy Distress Stickles on the clouds…

I also created a simple card with the Garden Friends set…

I stamped over these pieces, too, as I did above. And the background? I layered two images: the flowers with Soft Green Shadow Ink and the text with Grass Chalk Ink. A great way to get a new look. (Products are linked below.)

I thought I would share my last projects for my guest spot over at My Favorite Things. I adore those folks – they are so nice. SO nice. (And their products are made in the US – you know I love that.) For both of these cards, I used the die from the Die-namics Framed Greetings Die and Stamp Set, just oriented differently.

For this first one, I stamped the mailbox, colored it with Copics and then coated it with Glossy Accents. Once it was dry, I stamped over the whole piece with the background. Glossy Accents are fabulous for resist!

Making mini cards is such fun…

I colored that strip on the top of the card with a matching Copic Marker. And this little girl is actually holding mail in her hands, but I masked it off and tucked flowers in instead…

I used a tiny dot of Black Enamel Accents for the eyes. Gives it more life.

So the girl and mailbox are actually from the same stamp. I just cut them apart and did a bit of masking. So fun to get more from your stamps…

By the way, that adorable green dotted paper is from Hero Arts. It is heavy-weight paper with a white back, so it is perfect to cut into note cards. Love it. And 2Peas is selling all the patterns by the sheet instead of in the packs. Click HERE to see the yummy rainbow of colors…

This next one is so very simple. I colored each dot with a different Big Brush Pen, misted lightly and stamped for a fun pattern. Love the messy dots.

I have been working like mad on samples for CHA for Hero Arts, Tim Holtz and Ranger. Thought I would take a break and share a sample I made for a previous CHA.

I don't think I have shared this one and it uses one of my favorite combos: Copics and canvas.

Yep… it works very well! I stamped the Hero Arts flower with Archival Black Ink on Sticky Back Canvas. I then colored away with my Copics. They do bleed a bit on the canvas, so I just was careful to not color right up to the lines but rather in a bit….

This Sticky Back Canvas is actually the ATC-sized canvas. Perfect for the front of a card. Love.

It is bright, huh? Hopefully it will give cheer to the person I am sending it to.

And that background stamp on the green is one of my fave Tim Holtz ones. So fun…

I am so happy to be part of a huge blog hop today in honor of a wonderful gal – Laura Vegas.

AND!  The girls summer here starts Sunday.  This, my friends, is my favorite day of the whole year.

Quick video for you this morning showing off the new Metallic Staz-On Inks.  They are wonderful!  They stamp so well on acetate/transparency, paper and more.  This video just shows the basics.  Oh, and forgive my messy hands – a day of gardening and stamping wasn’t good to them…

Here is the card made with Hero Arts stamps.  I know these flowers are usually white, but I added a bit of yellow to make them pop…

Love the texture of the metallic when it is clear embossed…
