My Favorite Crafty Things: Dies

Welcome back to the second day of My Favorite Crafty Things 2017! Today is all about dies.

WORD DIES

I use a word die on most of my cards. With stamped sentiments, you have to find a smooth place on your card to put them. With die cut sentiments, they can go anywhere and add dimension. They are fun! Here are some of this year’s favorites:

  2. I have just started getting into using dies, and I love them, but have to be selective since they are pretty expensive. I always appreciate your videos on making the most of the dies. My favorites here are the Lawn Fawn scalloped box card pop up cuts. They look like so much fun. I also love the Altenew Bold Alphabet! Lots of great ideas for using them…

I only have some of the dies you’ve mentioned, so out of that reduced set that I can actually comment on I like the Altenew Bold Alphabet dies the best… great for clean, modern cards with lots of impact. There are definitely a bunch of others that look great that I’ll be adding to my wish list, however. Thanks for all the fantastic info!!!

  9. Thanks for another video of your favorite dies. I think my fav from this list is the Your Next Stamp rectangle stick frame. It would be so great for a CAS card! I also like the layered plaid sets from Altenew. I LOVED your example of stamping on the Altenew alphabet dies. Thank you!

  14. My favorite – or the one that would be most used – is the PaperTrey Ink Thinking of You die. It could be used for almost any occasion including Sympathy cards. I’ll surely be saving up for this one.

  15. I love MFT dies! My favorite from your favorites is the MFT cover plate: diagonal sentiment. It’s my default cover plate.

  19. This is a difficult choice ! I would say the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Card Pop-up die. It makes the creation of a pop-up box so easy, even for me – LOL !

  20. Choosing my favorite die is extremely difficult. However, I’m going to go with the Simon Says Huge Felicity Snowflake Die. Unfortunately, they are currently out of stock so I will have to wait to purchase it.

  21. I have many favorite dies, but one of them is the Altenew Bold alphabet die set. It’s easy to use and makes such a statement on projects. Thanks for sharing with us!!
