Pearlized Stamp Layering + Giveaway

Hello! Today I share a fun way to use Perfect Pearls for pearlized stamp layering. I am also participating in a blog hop with great prizes.

Perfect Pearls are gorgeous pigment powders that leave a beautiful shine. And it turns out they work great with layering stamp sets!

I started by stamping the solid/bottom layer of the Altenew Garden Treasures flower with VersaMark Ink on Bazzill Jawbreaker Cardstock. I dusted on Perfect Pearls and then stamped the next layer of the flower with VersaMark Ink right on top… and this lifts the Perfect Pearls away. A magic moment! The third layer is stamped in Altenew Dusk Dye Ink.

The results? A gorgeous, pearly, metallic-like flower. This works on any color of cardstock, but most effective on dark cardstocks. The shine is amazing in real life.

The word “beautiful” is from the Altenew Perennial Beauty Stamp Set… and I created sentiment strips from the Altenew Extra Special Stamp Set. Tonic Ivory Seashell Nuvo Drops were the perfect little accents.

I used the same techniques for this next card but changed up the design and sentiment. “Thank you for your kindness” is from the Altenew Camellia Build A Flower Stamp Set.

Perfect Pearls are inexpensive and come in many colors. If you don’t have layering stamp sets, you can do this technique by rubbing VersaMark over cardstock, adding the Perfect Pearls and then stamping any image on top with VersaMark to “lift” the pearls. A gorgeous look!

  1. Such gorgeous cards! I just finished making 4 cards using this technique and using Altenew’s Vintage Rose. They came out so pretty. Thank you for your inspiration every day!

  2. Jennifer I have a question. On the Simon Says site where you have displayed your card design using this stamp set, there is another post using the white of the cardstock to achieve a different stamp design. Is it possible that you could demonstrate this technique? I’m would really appreciate it as I am trying to decide to purchase this set. Thank you sincerely. Katz Baugh
