  1. My favorite background technique is yet to be discovered! I love them all and I hope to learn more!!

Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot in the class!

  2. I actually need to learn some background techniques. I rely heavily on embossing folders and have a ton of them. I done some backgrounds with alcohol ink and like that but would like to expand that

  3. I love a Distress Ink/watercolor background with another stamp stamped on top of it in matching or coordinating colors.

  4. I use distress ink blending for background scenes. If I have stamp sets I like to use the additional stamps to create a complementary background to go with my focal point or alternatively ink through a stencil. If there is going to be a large area of white space I like to use embossing folders to add texture or neutral embossing paste through a stencil. Alternatively using a layer which is intricately die cut as my background. Then of course there are all the lovely papers to choose from which can be used in so many creative ways.

  5. I am taking it easy these days and using my embossing folders to make back grounds for my cards. I have a lot of these and as I am growing older my hands hurt from blending the inks and using my Vagabond and the embossing folders is a pretty yet painless way to make backgrounds. I’m glad I have collected them from over the years!

  6. Thank you for a the chance. My favorite is probably using a big background stamp and embossing it or a stencil and using texture paste!! 🙂

  7. HI,

My favorite is the emboss resist, usually with flowers. Thank you for the opportunity of winning a spot in the Background Check class. Exciting…….

    Again thank you.

  8. Picking a favorite background is difficult as I like many but I am most excited to try the Ombre background and I love watercolor and it’s variations. I hope to be able to start selling cards to supplement my social security. I recently discovered you on You Tube and it turned into a week long marathon. It has given me many, many ideas and now to narrow down which ones to try first.

  9. My favorite background technique is to use Distress Inks to blend colors and then to flick water onto the ink to distress it even further. Thanks for the opportunity to win … my fingers are crossed!

  10. Embossing folders are my go to technique for cards. Would love to learn more! Thanks for the chance to win a spot!

  11. I would love to win a chance to learn something new. I like making backgrounds with water color paint. I never quite know what I’m going to end up with.

  13. I’m pretty “green” in the background arena, just starting my journey of learning & experimenting. Thank you so much for this opportunity, hopefully I win a spot and learn lots!

  14. I am a mixed media kind of girl. I like to mix water colors and inks plus stamped images. I go where my imagination leads me. Thanks for the opportunity to win this class

  15. I like creating a background using a single stamp and stamping it repeatedly with a light ink. Helps me stretch out the stamp.

  16. I don’t know many background techniques 🙁 so I don’t yet have a favorite. That’s why I need to win this class giveaway!! LOL Thanks for the chance!

  17. When a background looks like it will be too plain I will usually go to an embossing folder or a versamarked stamp.
