Hello! Today I have a video showing how to emboss with dies. I am also participating in the Pink Power Blog Hop… to spread breast cancer awareness and to support loved ones going through treatment.

Clean and simple cards are actually my favorite, but I struggle with them. Every once in awhile I am able to pull one off… and still incorporate some fun techniques. Dies are my favorite (am I allowed to say I love them as much as stamps?) and I love the look of embossing with them. Here, I used the Lawn Fawn Small and Large Stitched Rectangle die sets to make a double-stitched-frame impression onto watercolor paper. This is very easy to do with an embossing pad, but you could also use fun foam.
After heat embossing the awesome Pink Power stamp images with Liquid Platinum embossing powder, I did a bit of watercolor with a pink Tombow marker and Wink of Stella glitter pen. It works so well… and is quick. I also covered a tiny heart die cut with the silver powder and added it for a touch of dimension.
PINK POWER BLOG HOP
My friend Chaitali has rounded up some of her crafty friends to help spread breast cancer awareness with this Pink Power Blog Hop. This is a cause close to her heart after her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She designed the Pink Power set and Verve is selling it and I couldn’t be more proud of her for doing this. You can purchase the stamps HERE.
