Video: DIY Basket Treat & Card with Recipe

Hello! I have again teamed up with my dear friend Melanie Bauer from Melanie Makes. Melanie came up with a yummy mini Ginger Carrot Cake recipe. And me? I came up with a simple DIY paper basket and card to go with it.

[All supplies are linked in the thumbnails below.]
The basket is quick and easy to make and can be adjusted to make baskets of other sizes. The basket I made works great for any mini loaf treat – you could even do mini pumpkin breads, etc. It would even be great to hold Easter candy! The video also shows how to easily make a large paper bow. This is a great way to save money… instead of buying lots of ribbons.
I used the Impression Obsession bunnies and Clearly Besotted Grass dies to decorate my basket and card, but you could use anything you have on hand. The sentiments are from the My Favorite Things Easter Bunny set.
You can see Melanie’s cute little mini carrot cake in the basket below…

If you haven’t been to Melanie’s blog, I highly recommend it! My family loves her slow cooker chicken Parmesan sandwiches and her simple sweet cornbread. I also loved doing our collaboration last month for the Mini Mint Chocolate Chip Whoopie Pies and Shamrock Treat Download.

Thanks for stopping by!

  27. I was a scene stamper for so long that I am just getting back into colorful ink colors. Your videos help me so much. I could really use some new ink pads. The ones I haven’t used for years are dry as a bone. Thanks!
