Glittered Die Cuts + You’ve Got Mail Giveaway!

Have a Valentine’s Day card for ya… and a class giveaway. First, the very-glittery card…

This was much easier than it looks…

I started by adding Be Creative double sided tape to a piece of white cardstock, leaving the other side of the tape’s release paper on it. I placed the Hero Arts fancy heart die down onto the release paper side and ran it through my machine. Since I didn’t use a shim and the piece I am cutting is thick, it doesn’t cut completely through all the layers so the back (cardstock) stays complete. I removed the heart outline release paper and added the red Glitter Ritz. After rubbing it on well, I removed the rest of the release paper and added Cool Highlights (colorless) Glitter Ritz. Finally, I burnished the whole piece with a bone folder making sure that none of the glitter came off. This is fast and easy and gives a great “wow” effect.

And the background… I stamped the tweed with Hero Arts White Dye Ink. This ink is really cool – it gives very subtle and soft results – great for a background like this on kraft. (It you want intense and solid color, use Hero Arts Unicorm White Ink instead.)

Supplies are below.

Next, I have another class that may be of interest to you. I am honored to be a guest in my dear friend Lisa Spangler’s class with Studio Calico called You’ve Got Mail.

This class with be filled with lots of cards, a free stamp set and free downloads. For more information, head HERE.

I am thoroughly enjoying your card class camp and can’t believe all of the techniques and extra tips that I have learned. Your valentine’s card is so pretty and who doesn’t love to receive a card that is glittery! Thank you for a chance to win a spot in another card class that looks like it will be awesome too – when you see the lineup of artists.

Holy guacamole, that heart card is pretty. I’ve got a hundred sheets of glitter over here but haven’t produced anything remotely as wonderful as that heart you have there with it. I stand in admiration.
