Stretch Those Stamps

Hello. Happy Sunday.

Just wanted to share a card I did for the Hero Arts Blog. It uses three holiday stamps in non-holiday ways. Can you find the holiday stamps? (Go HERE if you need help spotting them.)

With a little clever masking and trimming, I have a happy summer card created from “Happy New Year” and “Merry” greetings.

(And now that I look at this card, I realize the center element isn’t actually centered. Oops.)

By the way, this uses two products from Hero Arts that I am really enjoying these days. First, the new Soft Granite Shadow Ink. It is the perfect grey (and a nice softer version of Wet Cement)…

Next is the Square Background stamp. I used it on the pool piece above. What a great background pattern…

Oh, and I am loving the color combination on this card. In fact, these are the colors of the new studio I am building. Such happy colors.

Paper Smooches is having a giveaway to support Operation Write Home. (One of my favorite companies and one of my favorite causes!) Be sure to check it out HERE. Cute card, too!

See you soon.

Happy Card

Sometimes ya just want to make a happy card. One to brighten the day of a loved one.

And maybe brighten your own day by just making it.

Here is a happy card…

This card was made completely with dies (and the help of one background stamp)…

THIS die is great for making the tiny little hearts. And the trees? It is fabulous how delicate they are. And, of course, I used THIS background – I can’t seem to put it down!

Check out how incredible the greeting die cuts

Supplies are in the thumbnails below.

Winner winner chicken dinner! We have some winners:

  • The winner of the Apothecary Label Stamp + Die set is Joyce.
  • The winner of the Daisy Die is Melanie L.

Another Die Cut Card

Hey there!

As promised, I am back with yet another card using some new dies. And, once again, my favorite new background stamp

I die cut the wreath from Neenah white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers (YG17, YG67, R22, R24, BG13, BG15). Did it quick and simple – not over thinking it. I did cut it twice and popped the flowers up. (This is a great technique – die cut a shape from white cardstock and color it with markers.)

And that banner die is the coolest die ever. It doesn’t just cut a banner with “v” ends, it scores and has added angles just right to cut and fold into the perfect dimensional banner. I have been wanting this for some time! And the stamps fit perfectly in the die. (You can buy the die alone, the stamps alone or both together.)

See you soon with another.

Oh So Very Excited – $50 Gift Certificate Giveaway!

It’s STAMPtember!

For this whole month, the wonderful folks over at Simon Says Stamp are celebrating stamping with guests (honored to be one with a few of my fabulous friends), sales, special products, contests, prizes, videos, tutorials, blog hops and more! It will be such fun. And, as you know, I think the world of Heidi and her team. I have had the privilege to work with and know many great people in this industry. And I can honestly say that Heidi is on top of the list – she is kind, generous, supportive and giving. She is very good to the designers who work in the industry – such a unique, important and wonderful thing. She also supports lots of the challenge blogs and classes out there. So I am happy to be part of STAMPtember!

As I mentioned, I will be a guest later in the month for STAMPtember. However, I will also be celebrating here and giving you the heads up on things you need to check out as part of the celebration.

I will be back very soon with some card shares. (Gotta get off my rear and go workout first!)

As a thanks to the folks at Simon Says Stamp for doing such a great event for all the stampers out there, I wanted to do a giveaway! Just leave a comment here by Wednesday at 11:59pmEST telling me your favorite of the new exclusive SSS products (HERE). I will pick a lucky winner and give them a $50 shopping spree at SSS. (The gift certificate will come from me via email.) Good luck!

See you soon with some cards…
