Playing with those New Products + New Kick Start Class

Remember the bunch of stamps and dies I shared yesterday?

I got to play with them today! Me? I am a happy girl.

First up? A fun one for my hubby. I used the Absolutely Edge Die and Stamps… which cuts along an edge and has matching stamps. Such a cool look! (By the way, you can get the die alone, the stamps alone or both together.) The diagonal windows were cut with the Air Vent die. I kept this part open so it shows through to the inside of the card. The hearts were cut with the Holiday Shapes die and covered with Glossy Accents. Fast to put together – done in 10 minutes!

That Air Vent die? So very fabulous…

All the supplies are at the bottom of this post in in the thumbnails. Had fun making this one! Will be back very soon with the next one…

Kristina and I just announced our newest Online Card Class – Kick Start!

Lots of videos and a peek into the creative minds of great artists including Tim Holtz, Shari Carroll, Kelly Purkey, Julie Ebersole, Lisa Spangler, Dawn McVey, Kelly Rasmussen, Kathy Racoosin, Amber Daigre and Maile Belles. For more information, click HERE. Hope to see you there!

Major Enabling + Paperclipping + Giveaway

Warning: Major enabling coming up.

Big time enabling.

Simon Says Stamp just released a ton of new exclusive product. And it is really good. See for yourself…

First up? Stamp and die combos. (You can buy the stamps and dies separately, too.) These sets are amazing. The first is my favorite! But look closely at them all – they are delightful. (Click each to see more.) That “absolutely” one? Clever! (And big cheers to my friend Kristina Werner who designed many of these products.)

Next we have some great stamps. Oh my word…

And my friend Kelly Purkey did these great stamp sets for SSS. So very awesome…

And I shared a few of the dies in my last post. I love the details of these – and you can use them on any machine.

Amazing stuff, huh?

I gotta share the love! Leave a comment here by Sunday for your chance to win the Apothecary Labels Stamp and Die combo! (I am placing an order for an extra set right now to send to the lucky winner.)

Good luck!

Yesterday I was honored to be a guest on the Paperclipping Roundtable with my friend Tim Holtz, crafter Laura Denison and the always fun Noell Hyman. The topic? Techniques! My favorite. Just head HERE to listen to our discussion. (Nevermind that I sound like I am 12. Ha!)

See you soon.

Watercolor + Die Cutting… and LOTS of Giveaways

Hello! Lots of giveaway news for you today, along with a few card shares…

I am blogging today over on the Paper Crafts Connectinons blog. Be sure to head there to see more detail on these cards…

I had such fun creating this set! I just painted some watercolor pieces (lots of fast scribbles with watercolor pencils followed by back and forth swipes with a wet brush) and die cut the flower from the center. I matted each piece on white, allowing it to show through. Easy!

Wonder what I did with those unused flowers? I made this quick card. The photo stinks – sorry…

This was a great way to make some fast cards to have on hand for friends.

By the way, did you see the background of the notecards above? It is THIS awesome background stamp. It does a great pattern of dots that varies from the top to bottom… giving the look of texture. Fun…

And HERE is the lovely Simon Says Stamp daisy die I used. You can use this die with any die cut machine. (Click HERE for sandwich recipes for each machine.) I really like the quality of these wafer thin dies.

Easy and fun!

How would you like to win the Simon Says Stamp Fresh Daisy Die I used above? Just leave a comment by Friday at 11:59pmEST for your chance to win!

And if you want to win even more, be sure to check out these blogs. All will be doing a Simon Says Stamp die giveaway…

No Stamping! And a Little Enabling…

Hello!

I am a stamper. First and foremost. But sometimes it is fun to create without a stamp. (Yes, I said it!)

This card uses no stamps – just some of my favorite embellishments…

Here are the goodies I used:

Speaking of the Stardust Glitter Ritz glitter. A few people asked how it compared to regular silver glitter. The color difference is subtle, but it has a warn, vintage tint to it. That’s Stardust on the left and another normal silver glitter on the right…

Yep, sometimes creating without stamps is fun. Have you tried it? Would love to hear what your favorite non-stamping goodies are.

See you soon. (And likely with stamps in hand!)

Oh la la! You know how much I love dies and Simon Says Stamp just released a bunch of new good exclusive ones HERE!

So in love with THIS one that makes little stars and hearts to scatter on a card.

And THIS makes me giddy…

Lots of good stuff you can do with THIS one…

Oh, and I guess I couldn’t get away without talking about a stamp set, huh? Check out THIS new one…

Again, be sure to check all the new ones out HERE. Happy shopping!

I envision many hours of artsy fun with this kit for Colin. (Now that we are back in our house we will have a chance to play with it!)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to continue to the next stop on the hop – Laurel Beard. If while hopping you encounter a broken link, you can go back to the beginning for links to everyone who is participating in the hop.
