Enabling and a card share…

Hello!

Popping in to let you know about some great new products. Simon Says Stamp has lots of new dies in stock – both from Memory Box and new ones from SSS themselves. Heavenly. You can find them all HERE. And these are my faves – off to place an order myself…

First up is THIS amazing die from SSS. (Which happens to be the writing of my dear friend.) Absolute perfection…

Hello, lovely daisies. You make me happy…

And a hexagon border die? Yes please…

This tree is from Memory Box. There are also dies you can get to cut leaves for it…

And I can never pass up a gorgeous, detailed butterfly

Lovely, eh? You can see all the new dies HERE. Don’t say I didn’t warn you and your wallet. :)

Now for a quick card share. This one was in Paper Crafts magazine – you can find out more HERE.

I have gotten a lot of questions about the greeting on this one. I cheated – it is computer-generated. I do this a lot when I want a unique message or need a certain size. Easy!

Have a good night.

Wait – there’s more…

I forgot I had a few more cards to share using the wood veneer from Studio Calico. Simple but fun. (If you missed my first shares, go HERE.)

Again, these are simple. But with the texture and cute shapes of the wood veneer, you don’t need a lot…

These wood veneer frames are such fun to use. (They come apart – lots of frames here.) Wasn’t sure about them at first, but now? I have ordered more…

And another with the same wood houses

Again, I just colored these with Copics but you can use pretty much anything.

See you soon. Off to snuggle my little girl.

Wood Veneer

I love when a product comes out and you just have to have it. Especially when lots come in a package, giving it great mileage for the money.

A perfect example? Studio Calico’s wood veneer embellishments. Here are a few cards I threw together with them.

First one has some wood veneer hearts on a double embossed notecard (shown in a video in A Cut Above – you can still take it)…

All of these wood veneer pieces start out as plain wood but I colored them quickly with Copics. You could use pretty much anything to color them. Here, I layered an open bird on top of a solid bird. Eyes were done with Black Enamel…

More layering here. I just glue them together with Glossy Accents…

My favorites are these stars. They are super small, making them fun to scatter on a card like I do normally with tiny punched hearts or gems. Fabulous. Added Rock Candy Distress Stickles to these. Looks like sugar.

And look how many come in a pack? Awesome…

You can see all the fun wood veneers HERE.

Oh, and see those hexagon and chevron embossed notecards? I did that with one embossing folder. The Spellbinders M-Bossailities can be used with any die cut machine. Emboss it one way and get one pattern. Turn it inside out and emboss and you get another pattern. Love. A great deal. And since it is a true embossing folder, it gives deep impressions.

Have a good night.

Introducing Lila Grace

Hello. Just wanted to pop in to introduce you to my Mother’s Day gift…

Lila Grace was born on the afternoon of Mother’s Day. Baby is doing great, as is Mommy… despite Lila weighing almost 9 pounds. (Yikes!)

Not the greatest photos, but we are focusing on leaving the camera aside and just enjoying the time with her. And to say that Colin is madly in love is an understatement. I just can’t describe it…

Lila (pronounced Lie-La) is a name Ken has had his heart set on for a long time. And I have always wanted the name Grace for a middle name. I look forward to Kay and Audrey meeting her soon, and then our little family will be complete. God is so very good.

Back to crafting soon. Thanks for the prayers!
