Go To Gal Product Challenge – SRM Stickers

Today I am part of a Go To Gals Product Challenge Blog Hop and we will all be using goodies from SRM Stickers.

Being a stamper, I rarely use stickers. The reason? I am not a fan of the halo they leave. But these clear and smooth SRM Stickers go on like butter and “disappear.” Just a good as stamps and so much easier. I am happy. :)

I was running low on time today so I made a card inspired by one I did awhile ago. Simple. And I added party hats to the stamped birds…

Used an awesome 6×6 paper from Lawn Fawn for the background. LOVE how subtle it is.

And aren’t the party hats fun? Goes well with that SRM greeting sticker.

So next be sure to check out the other Go To Gal blogs, and the Paper Crafts Connections blog…

If you want to see more SRM products, visit HERE. And the best part? They are super nice there.

Supplies below. See you later!

Video: Studio Calico + Shadow Inks… and Kit Giveaway

Hey there, fellow addicted stampers.

I just wanted to share a video I did for Studio Calico. I used their awesome March kits, along with Hero Arts Soft Shadow Inks and Mid-Tone Shadow Inks. Here is the video…

Here is the layout. A giant photo of pregnant me in the water. Boy do I wish I was there now.

The Shadow Inks work great with lots of SC kits. Similar colors.

And, of course, this cardmaker needed to make a card…

Lovely products in those kits, I tell ya!

And as often happens, most of these kits are all sold out already. You gotta move fast! But sweet Kelly Purkey said that I could give away one of the kits for Maggie Holme’s upcoming class, Happy Little Moments. (Sign up quick for the class – the last day you can do so is tomorrow.) Here is a bit about the class…

Join Maggie Holmes in our Calico Classroom March self-paced class. Life is full of happy little moments that we often don’t scrapbook. This altered book is the perfect place to tuck them in along with a few sentiments and beautiful hand picked embellishments. Maggie will walk you through the creation process and show you some fun techniques for making a magical and unique album.

Just leave a comment here for a chance to win a sold out Happy Little Moments Class Kit. Do so by Wednesday at 11:59pmEST.

Good luck. See you tomorrow!

Card shares and a box for sale!

If you have visited my blog before, you know I enjoy finding ways to get more out of the products I have. Two of the cards I shared on the Hero Arts blog last week are good examples of getting more from a stamp. So… I took THIS butterfly collage image (a favorite of mine) and made a girly card from it…

Then I used that same butterfly stamp for a manly card. But I covered the butterfly with a big clock image (from THIS great masculine set), giving it a different look…

Yay! A completely different look. Just cover up part of a collage image and you have a new look. :)

Supplies are in the thumbnails below.

So we spent the weekend purging and moving around stuff in our house to get ready for our remodel and the baby. (Yes – both at once – I am nuts.) While doing so, I put together a big box of stamps. 35+ stamps… most are backgrounds or clear sets. I also threw in several new inks and some markers. And a few other things. These are all good products – I just had doubles or needed the space. The box is on sale for $90, which includes shipping in the US. (Out of US will have to pay extra. Sorry – wish it wasn’t that way.) If you are interested buying this massive box of stamps, just leave a comment saying so. I will randomly pick someone and email you! Gonna put the money towards my husband’s fundraising efforts for the American Lung Association. (See more HERE.) Thanks!

There is a new product that I wanted to share with you. I love it!

I bet a lot of you out there are as addicted to foam dots as I am. They are a great way to add dimension and interest without a lot of bulk for mailing. And if you are like me, sometimes you find it hard to cut  white foam dots small enough so that the white doesn’t show around the sides of a small piece.

Well, this product solves that. They are Kool Tak Clear Foam Dots and Foam Tape. That’s right – no more seeing the white from the sides. Yay! I really like these. They are super strong and aren’t too bulky, which is nice. (But if you want thicker, you can layer two.) You can cut the pieces in half – the adhesive is so strong you don’t need to use much.

I will still be using my favorite white foam adhesive (EK Success 1/16″ and American Crafts 1/8″) for most of my crafting. But for small pieces or special cards, I will be using this new clear. You can find the Clear Foam Dots HERE and the Clear Foam Tape HERE.

New Hero Arts (and Basic Grey) + Discount Code

Hey there.

So I asked Heidi at Simon Says Stamp to let me know when she had all the new Hero Arts in stock. And not only did she let me know, but she offered a discount code for my readers. Sweet, isn’t she? Just head HERE and use the code “JMSpring12″ for 10% off ALL Hero Arts products. (Code is good until 2/29. Remember that shipping is free in the US for orders over $75.)

I thought I would let you know what a few of my favorites are. I was hoping to create a card today but was in one appointment after another and was unable to. But I promise to share some soon.

If you want to see all of the new product, you can go HERE.

So first up, this butterfly. It speaks for itself. So lovely…

This set of script images is awesome. Thing of the backgrounds and the subtle touches you could add with these. Oh my…

Anything zig zag rocks…

Check out THIS unique background

THIS one would be good for masculine cards…

This Tartan Background stamps so amazingly well. Another good one for his or her cards…

I really like this Hero Arts + Basic Grey border set

The Konnichiwa line is so sweet. Sweet  Konnichiwa Lantern and Japanese Garden

The flowers in THIS set would be fun for coloring… and the heart is so sweet…

Have you sen the Add Your Message card sets? These box sets come with printed notecards, envelopes and 4 wood stamps. They are adorable for fast cards, or you can add some some extra embellishments, etc. I really like THIS bird set and THIS owl set

Be sure to also check out the two new Basic Grey 6×6 pads. They are ideal for cardmakers. One is Konnichiwa and one is Plumeria

And if you haven’t gotten all the new Mid-Tone Shadow Inks (you can see a video of them in action HERE), now is a chance to get them with the discount code…

Again, you can find these stamps at Simon Says Stamp. Just head HERE and use the code “JMSpring12″ for 10% off ALL Hero Arts products. (Code is good until 2/29.)

Oh, and I may just have an extra new goodie to giveaway…

Card Kit Giveaway

Hello, stampers.

I am madly in love with the Card Kits from Simon Says Stamp. You can buy each month individually (hurry – they sell out fast) or sign up for a subscription where you automatically get it each month (at a discounted rate). Regardless, these kits are delicious. The colors are amazing – pure eye candy. And for me – someone who struggles with color – this is a great thing. (By the way, go HERE if you want to see a video my friend Mary Dawn did showing the kit.)

I used the March Kit for three cards. Here is the first – simple…

The two other cards I shared over on the Hero Arts blog this morning. I am doing a week over there of his and her cards – showing a masculine and feminine card created with same products. First, “his” card…

Love window cards…

And then “her card”… (By the way, those little hearts are made with THIS awesome punch.)

Be sure to stop by the Hero Arts blog this week for more “his and her” ideas.

And of course the sweet Heidi at Simon Says Stamp offered for me to give a March kit away here. Just leave a comment by Tuesday at 11:59pmEST for your chance to win! Good luck.
