Butterfly Shaped Card

Hello!

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Before I share a card for today, I wanted to give a heads up — I will be selling some supplies on my blog this week. I have 13 boxes of awesomeness packed and ready for a new home. (The money earned from these sales will cover the Cards that Care shipping I did last month.) So if you are interested, stay tuned. They will likely go fast. :)

On to the card…

This bad boy is a bold one – but I enjoy the unexpected. :) I used THIS awesome die from Memory Box. (They are one of my favorite companies.) It was a reject from an assignment. Oh well…

I die cut the butterfly from different papers and assembled them together. Fun and easy. Oh, and the die cuts one wing. To get the mirror image other wing, just die cut the back of the paper.

Oh – and the winner of the Frame Cut prize is Jo R. I emailed you.

Have a good week.

Gotta say, it’s encouraging to see even a brilliant artist has a reject now and then, however, why was that rejected?!

Yesterday I was making a mental shopping list of what I wanted to order from the Clean and Simple Cardmaking class and I had the fleeting (and rather random) thought: “I wonder what folks like Jennifer McGuire do with what *must* be a ton of stamps and supplies they accumulate over time?”

    True story. :)

Oh, and I did place that order. A really huge one, for me. Squee!!! Can’t wait!

Am I possibly the only one who doesn’t understand what “die cut from several papers and assembled them together” means? I can’t figure it out.

Love the card, and I’m not even a fan of butterflies. I know, shocking.
