Happy New Year… and card shares

First, I want to wish you all a very blessed and Happy New Year. I hope it is filled with all things good.

Next, I just wanted to share some cards I did for Paper Crafts. They are simple thank you notes created with holiday stamps. This is a great way to extend the life of those stamps! And I adore these cutie stamps from Avocado Arts

Simple simple simple. Just a bit of Copic Marker coloring and a touch of glitter with a glitter pen, and you are done. Now it is time to get these thank yous in the mail! :)

Again, Happy New Year.

Studio Calico Technique Video: Creating Chevron Borders

Hello there!

I have a new video to share with you. This one I did for Studio Calico using their new January Kit called County Fair and some add-on kits. I show an easy way to create chevron (zig zag borders). These are fun to create and would work on cards or scrapbook pages.

Give it a try – it is easier than it looks! :)

Winners! We have winners. The three lucky folks getting spots in Clean & Simple Card Making are Cardcrazed (karen G), Sharon M. and Maggie Haroldson. Yay!

Merry Christmas

“… led by the light of faith serenely beaming… with glowing hearts by His cradle we stand…”

Merry Christmas from my family to yours.

(This isn’t the card I sent out to family and friends, but I will share that in a few days. I blurred out the family info.)

God bless!

Cards that Card Card Drive Winners

Hello!

Well, the Cards that Care card drive for the elderly was a huge success. We received over 3,800 cards! These cards were divided up and sent to many many many nursing homes across the US and Canada. Thank you so much for contributing!

I wanted to give a shout out to my friends, Jana Millen and Sandi Neumann. I haven’t been feeling 100% lately, so they did a lot to get the cards out. Thanks to Vera, also, for taking this on with me.

I also wanted to give another shout out to the folks over at Simon Says Stamp. As a company, they got together and sent a ton of handmade cards. I just think that is impressive – says a lot about the character of the people who work there. Admire that greatly. Thanks, girls!

Hero Arts + Sizzix Stamp + Die Video

Hello!

I recently created a video for the folks over at Archivers… in celebration of the new stamps Hero Arts has released. The video shows how to use the stamp and die combos from Hero Arts and Sizzix. I share a simple way to use them and then a not-so-basic-and-a-bit-more-fun use. :) By the way, this set is hard to find and sold out everywhere, so get it while you can…

Love bold colors + bold images + a bold greeting. Makes for a happy card.

See you soon. Hope you are ready for the holidays. I so am not. But that’s ok. It will still come and be just as fun. :)

A Happy Tag

Hello! Anyone else in total shock by the fact that it is December 21st already? Oh my. OH MY.

If you are like me, you need some quick and happy tags for your gifts. Happy happy tags. So I broke out these cutie stamps from Hambo. They definitely are happy…

I colored this guy quickly with Copics and then colored over it with a glitter pen. So cute in real life. The bow is awesome ribbon from May Arts and the die cut is from Tim Holtz. (See links below.)

I recommend heading over to Hambo and looking around. There are some clever greetings and images… all happy and fun.

Will be back soon to share more.
