Hero Arts and Studio Calico Blog Hop – with Prizes!

So, in your life, you meet people who make you happy. Who you admire and respect. And when you get the opportunity to work with these people, it is even better.

That is how I feel about Hero Arts and Studio Calico. Upon introducing the folks from these companies to each other, they instantly hit it off and my wishes came true: They teamed up to make stamps together.

Hero Arts will be producing Studio Calico stamps in the good old USA. (Studio Calico is based in Kentucky and Hero Arts is in California. Go US!) So if you order a Studio Calico kit with a stamp, it will be from Hero. And, both companies will be selling their regular stamps. Rocks, huh?

For the next three days, Hero Arts and Studio Calico will be doing a blog hop to celebrate this partnership. I am thrilled to be part of it as many of my good friends are playing, too. (Love ya, girls.)

I created two cards for today. They both use the same stamp sets but in different ways. The stamp sets have lots of fabulous circle images, which you can see on the background of this card. I also used some of the new Studio Calico 6×6 paper pads. Yes, you heard me right – they have 6×6 paper pads. My heart is soaring.

I *love* the look of a white embossed image on a colorful card…

My next card uses the same stamps but on hexagon die cut shapes. The white/brown pieces are all stamped, along with the dark teal. The butterfly is a new chipboard shape from SC. And those banners sticking out the side? Those are banner-flag-thingies embossed in white. Love.

Wanna see the stamps I used? Here is “You Are the Best” set. I used the circles on both cards, and the little banner-flag-thingies on the second card…

And I used the “hello” from the “Hooray” set. (And I will show you a fun way to use this set in a couple days…)

These new Studio Calico stamps will be available in about a month.

By the way, THIS is the hexagon die I used for this card… (Yes, it even works on the Cuttlebug.)

And what would a blog hop be without prizes? We’re giving away FIVE Studio Calico + Hero Arts clear stamp sets for EACH day of the hop (Monday through Wednesday!) You could win the stamps I used today, plus THREE more sets! Just leave a comment on each stop in the hop and we’ll pick a random winner from ALL of them! The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to WIN! Yay! Winners will be announced on Saturday, July 16.

Next on the hop is Davinie Fiero… click HERE.

Enjoy!

I’ve had my eye on that hexagon shape because I thought it would make a good “bee” card background. This gives me another excuse to get it
