After teaching in Boston, I decided to spend a night in NYC with my sweet girl Kelly. And, thanks to the weather, I am stuck for an extra night. And by the word, “stuck” I mean I “get to.”

Weather? Was it a bad rain storm? somehow, i missed the news of that. I’m glad that you are ‘stuck’ with a friend, instead of at the airport. I had a canceled flight once at La Guardia airport and took a cab to Newark in hopes of catching a flight from there. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived that airport had canceled its flights, too. The airport hotels were jammed w stranded passengers and I got a room only because my travel companion misled the front desk person about his name and pretended that he had a resv (ok, he lied, and i went along w it). He insisted that I needed a room, too, so we had a nice dinner and warm rooms to spend the night in. But talk about stressful!
Ok, so maybe that was TMI. In any case, I hope you have a good time in NY and a safe trip home.
