Copics on Canvas

Hello!

I have been working like mad on samples for CHA for Hero Arts, Tim Holtz and Ranger. Thought I would take a break and share a sample I made for a previous CHA.

I don't think I have shared this one and it uses one of my favorite combos: Copics and canvas.

Yep… it works very well! I stamped the Hero Arts flower with Archival Black Ink on Sticky Back Canvas. I then colored away with my Copics. They do bleed a bit on the canvas, so I just was careful to not color right up to the lines but rather in a bit….

This Sticky Back Canvas is actually the ATC-sized canvas. Perfect for the front of a card. Love.

It is bright, huh? Hopefully it will give cheer to the person I am sending it to.

And that background stamp on the green is one of my fave Tim Holtz ones. So fun…

Oh! And guess what!? It looks like Copics have a great price over at Simon Says Stamps. Only $4.99 a piece with free shipping over $70. Great deal. If you want info on my favorite Copics, click HERE.

See you soon!

Beautiful! I love C Hellmuth’s stickyback canvas. Do you paint a sealer on your canvas when it’s done??? I’m thinkin of trying some beeswax too.

Gorgeous Jennifer! I thought that canvas would bleed too much. But I was wrong… Imagine that! lol Thanks for sharing. I’ve got a canvas mini taking up space in my stash. But I was afraid to try coloring on it. The pages are double layers, so I could put something between the layers to soak up the excess. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful! I need to try copics on this. I recently bought this natural sticky canvas and tried doing resist with clear embossing powder but it doesn’t work! Wonder if this is different from the white sticky canvas…

Hello Jennifer. I hope my husband is okay with a pizza delivery for supper…I just received the two Hero Arts DVDs of “At Home Classes” that you did. It’s about 3:00 in the afternoon and I’m going to sit down with my computer and your classes and be done doing much else! I know they are going to be as great as all your videos are and I’m really excited to have them. So, enough “chatting”…I”m off to watch! Thank you for doing them.

I have an Archival Ink pad and I use it for all my stamping… I LOVE it! However, I just bought my first Copic markers and I see everyone say you should use memento, but I have heard no mention of whether you can use the Archival Ink pad with the Copics. I see that’s what you used here. Is the Archival Ink ok to use with copics on the Neenah paper (which I bought- thanks for the link!) or will it bleed the ink and also ruin my Copic nibs? Thanks!
