Day 4 of the Trio Challenge

Welcome to Day 4 of my Trio Challenge with my girls Kathy and Lucy. Today we will all be using a Hero Arts Digital Flower

In Photoshop, I shrunk the flower to a smaller size and repeated it all over a 5.5"x4.25" piece. I then printed two larger flowers. I covered one of the large flowers with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and then sprayed it with perfect pearl water. I then inked the other with Grass Chalk Ink and cut out leaves. Easy and fun…

I love digital stamping. It rocks. And just because you use digital images to create something doesn't mean it has to LOOK digital. :) Here are a few of my favorite Hero Arts digial sets…

See you tomorrow. Happy stamping.

Jennifer, this note is about older ideas/techniques you’ve presented; using the Fiskar’s stamp press and saving the cello bags the HA cling and clear stamps are in to stamp on with Stazon Ink. Using the Spiderweb background stamp from HA, the stamp press and stazon ink, stamp the web on the larger cello bags and an easy, fast, and economical Halloween treat bag is made. I’m putting a couple little bags of candy and a decorative pencil in the bags. The kids will pick out which bag they want because of the pencil design. As you would say “easypeasy”! Thanks for making the treats a little more special this year. I probably would not do this if our area had a lot of kids, but there’s only about 15 – 20 kids.
Again, thanks for all your good ideas and the time you put into giving them to us!!

  14. So gorgeous, love what the three of you created today – all so different yet all amazing. TFS

    digital yet, but re-thinking that
    after seeing thses cards!!!!

  16. Jennifer,
Is your printer ink waterproof? My concern with using the distress inks and perfect pearl water was that the digital design might smear. Any tips?

  17. LOVE it. Another FAB card.
You sure know how to rock the digis Jennifer. (Said with STRONG American accent)

  23. Do you print your digi images on a laser printer? If not, how do you get the inkjet printed image NOT to smear when you ink it? I can’t get mine to work… Humph!

  24. Deanna T.

Thank you Jennifer…I loved the flower card so much…went to 2 Peas and bought it.
Question..in the HA-Flower Faces kit..there are what look like duplicates, but some have this in front of the name ._ it is a dot and underscore..they will not open..can you tell me what they are for?
Thanks so much for the tutorial..I will love working with the Flower Faces.
    Hugs, Dee

  41. Paula I

I love using digi stamps as well, the storage alone is a huge plus! And they’re so economical, you really can’t beat it. I used your technique recently. I’m making gifts for friends and one for myself, since we are all cancer survivors and now have a lovely memento symbolic of our journey. I colored a large butterfly with tattered rose then sprayed it with perfect pearls…stunning in person. These were attached to a picture frame with a cluster of smaller butterflies and a journey sentiment. The girls just loved them. Thanks for sharing.
