How-To Video: Metallic Rub-Ons & Last Day of Trio Challenge

Today is the last day – Day 4 of my Trio Challenge with my dear friends Kathy and Lucy. As a little bonus, I have a video to go with it.

We will all be using the Penny Black Christas Star Stamp

Years ago when I started teaching stamping classes, I often used Metallic Rub-Ons. I hadn’t seen them in a long time, so I decided to break them out. They are so fun, inexpensive and a great way to get a classy faux metal look in no time flat. Here is a video showing how to use them…

HERE are the Metallic Rub-Ons. Love all the sets…

I also colored my pearls to make them look gold. Used Copic E35 – easy. On pearls, it makes the perfect gold color. (Oh, and Copic T5 works for a silver look.)

Next, be sure to go over to Kathy’s blog to see her fab coloring and Lucy’s blog to see her awesome use of patterned paper with the same stamp.

I love your card and I love metallic rub-ons!!! Like you, I’ve used them for years but sometimes I forget about them and they get lonely and unused on the shelf. The other day I actually used them to fix a pair of bronze leather flats I had that were scuffed–worked perfectly!
