Been catching up on things lately – at least trying to. If you have emailed me and haven't heard back – please try again. Don't want to miss anything. And while hopping around the internet, I ran into some good things to share…
Kathy is so very good at creating marvelous backgrounds. She even shares a great tutorial – must see.
If you pack lunches for your kids, I highly recommend these bags. I am anti-plastic-with-food, so these are awesome.
I also forgot to mention the winner of the Tim Holtz stamp set – the lucky one is Jill in Frisco, Tx.
Must tell ya to check out some new Doodlebug goodies. I have been a fan of theirs for years – I look forward to their booth at CHA each year more than any others. Look at these new buttons… (Click to see the many more colors they come in.)
We are home from our awesome week at Disney. Trying to get back in the swing of things around here.
Thought I would just pop in to say Happy Halloween to everyone.
While in Disney, we went to their big Halloween party and wore our costumes. Here we are – that is my brother next to Colin. Colin was the UPS man (his pick) and we were his UPS packages, all labeled to Disney characters. They were a hit…
(By the way, since I work from home, the UPS man is here twice a day. Colin adores him. Love it.)
I love going to stamping retreats with friends since I always seem to get a bit of time to just play.
On my last retreat, I made a few random cards, including these guys using the Tim Holtz Grungefly. (Awesome name.) This stamp is fab since it can work many different styles. And to top it off? Rock Candy Distress Stickles to make it glisten…
And look closely at the Rock Candy on there. It goes on wet, but dries away leaving just a crystal/sugar/broken glass look. Awesome on any color as it is clear…
Used some small dictionary pages as a background. They always seem to work on any card. Just don't use pages from a medical dictionary. Trust me – I know this from experience.

Hope you have with paints and stamps. The combo really is fabulous.
Ah, and this video again shows the Electric Big Shot in action. I am telling you – hands down – this is the ultimate in die cutting machines. You can use any die or embossing folder with it. And is strong. And it is electric. It works like butter – so easily. You will quickly retire your Cuttlebug. (Gasp!) I promise.
And if you get the Multipurpose Platform to go with it, you are set. All the shims are attached and you can quickly use ANY dies and embossing pieces (Spellbinders, Papertrey, etc.) with this and you no longer have to remember which pieces are needed and which arrangement. This takes care of it all. Awesome.
You will see me using these a lot. I have waited for a long time to share my love for this machine. I wanted to be sure it was worth it – and it truly is.
While you are reading this, I am somewhere in the magical world of Disney with my family. (And to all you Roxie fans – no worries. She is home safe and sound with the company of family staying at our house while we are gone.) I will tweet pictures once and awhile. Happy day!
