Hi!
Before getting started, just wanted to announce that the winner of the stamps from the other day is Sue W. I emailed ya.
So, now to the challenge. It is Day 2 of my Hero Arts and Papertrey Ink Challenge with Maile Belles. That girl has more talent in her little toe than most people have entirely! Today we will be using the Hero Arts Deocrated Tree and the Papertrey Ink Christmas Signature…
I personally challenged myself to make a quick card. This is tough for me sometimes. But this is what I came up with and it looks TONS better in real life. So just close your eyes and pretend it is yummy – ha. I added color to the kraft card by HEAVILY coloring with colored pencils and also adding White Enamel Accents and Glossy Accents. Love doing this…
Add Vintage Photo to the edges. It really looks wonky in these photos. Sorry…
By the way, I get a lot of questions about colored pencils. This is one department I am very passionate about. There is one brand that really sticks out: Prismacolor. They go on so smooth and really work well on many papers, including kraft. Definitely worth the investment – it is something you will use for years. (I have!)
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to head over to Maile‘s next for what is sure to be a stunning card.

Ooh, I love the colors on this one! Love that turquoise mixed with traditional green Christmas colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also love the white accents!
Jennifer, my daughter is an artist, and also headed the art supply division of a college bookstore for several years. She got samples of everything, especially new products. She was talking about how great Copic markers were before I saw them mentioned anywhere else. She also, having tried them all, swears by Prismcolor pencils. In this mother’s opinion you have great taste!
Gotta get me some of those pencils. If you say they rock … then they rock!
Love the tree stamp! Kind of retro with the funky colors…thinking it would be cool to enclose a black and white family pic for the holidays.
