I am totally exhausted from making so many cards yesterday and today… but I wanted to stop by before heading up to bed.  I have about 60 more cards to do tomorrow for gifts – oh my!

Anyway, I have a winner from the Blog Hop on Friday.  The lucky one is Cariena Basson!  I emailed ya.  Thanks!

I thought I would share something quickly.  This was a reject unused piece from a project I did a few weeks ago so I decided to turn it into a card for my hubby.  The flower was fun to create.  I first covered watercolor paper with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and then sprayed it with a Perfect Pearl and water mix.  After drying, I punched a bunch of hearts from the paper and inked the edges.  Finally, I assembled them into a flower… I so wish you could see the shine on it.  The rub-on is a favorite of mine from Lily Bee.

Supplies: Tim Holtz Stamp, Lily Bee rub-on, Distress Inks, Perfect Pearl Perfect Pearls, Stampin' Up Punch, sewing machine

So… I hope you are all ready for the holidays.  Anyone else done with their shopping but still have things to make?  I love it, though… I gotta admit.  What gets me every year: my mom and my mother-in-law both have birthdays on Christmas Eve.  (Cool, huh?)  And they are two I like to make gifts for… thus the many I have to do tomorrow. :)

Love the card! I have tried this technique as well and love it!!! I always seem to reach for my perfect pearls. My favorite way to use them is painting in an embossed image. I finished all my cards yesterday. Have three more frames to make for my nieces. (Made 11 of them all together)I know the feeling of craziness this time of year, but I too just love it, especially the creative part. :)

Love the flower – I’m gonna try this one for sure.
I’m done shopping, still need to wrap. But the biggie present is an album for my son and daughter-in-law of their wedding. Nope it’s not done. I knew back in August at the wedding I was going to make them an album, I picked out the pictures, and planned the book. When did I start? ummmmm this past weekend.! ! ! Yup – I put it off, and with my crazy work schedule, it’s not done. I’m calling son and telling him not to show up b/4 noon on Christmas, cause “Mom is creating” ugh

  28. Shannon

I love the card. The flower is so simple but realy cute!
I’m done with my shopping but I’m still making 2 blankets–one crochet and one quilt. I’m pretty sure that I’ll have to give both of them to the recipients unfinished…

Thanks for reminding us that hearts make a cute flower! I use them for shamrocks (in March), but never seem to remember to make a flower with them. Love the layering idea – never thought of that!
