Cards for Kate and Eric Update and some shares…

Hello.

Just wanted to say that I am amazed at the cards rolling in.  And not just for Kate, but also for Eric!  That makes me so happy!  I will be working on sorting through them tomorrow – it is a big task.  And, you are not too late to send them in!  Just try to get them here by the end of October.  We have 90 awesome prizes waiting to be won. :)

And, I got a message from Kate's grandma and mom.  They both told me how much the family appreciates everything we are doing for them.  (I plan to share their emails here… just want to get their permission first.)  So… for all of you who sent cards – you should feel really good knowing you helped someone miles away.

Thought I would share some other random things I have made lately.

This one uses a stamp set from one of the companies who donated a prize for the card drive – iheartpapers.com.  They have their own line of cute clear stamps HERE.  I got a kick out of THIS stamp set and I used it to create this card for Audrey.  I think she will love it – we are always having to fight off mosquitoes in the summer – they love us.  Also, the background is a Hero Arts border swirl – a must-have new stamp – find it HERE.

Supplies: iheartstamps.com stamps except the background swirl which is Hero Arts, Copic Markers, Corner Chomper, Hero Arts flat metallic thingies, May Arts silk ribbon, glitter pen (for the wings), Colorbox chalk ink

Great news: Looks like TONS of new Hero Arts stamps are 20% off HERE.  Go get 'em while they last.

Since I shared a card I made for Audrey, I thought I would show one I gave to Kay.  This one also answers a question I get from lots of people: "What do you do with all the accents you make for your article in Creating Keepsakes?"  Well, I turn a lot of them into cards for the girls.  Here is one that I did just that – threw it on a card that was stamped with the same stamp as above.

Anyone doing anything nice for the weekend?  We are going to pick apples tomorrow.  Colin is so excited.  Praying it isn't too cold!

Take care…

  1. Jennifer,
Enjoy the apple farm. We went to the pumpkin patch for my 4 year olds birthday party in Lebanon, Ohio today. Freezing when we first got there, but when the sun came out it was a very nice day!

Hope the sun is shining tomorrow!

  2. Beautiful cards Jennifer!!!!

  3. I love the background stamp. So versatile.
I went apple picking 2 weeks ago with my son and my mother. I have a cousin who has a orchard. All organic and with delicious apples, pears etc. We had a great day.

  4. Love the cards and the sayings!

  5. Oh Apple picking…you can’t do that in the city. I miss the country fun I used to have growing up on the Central Coast. It’s football season so hubby will be in his recliner all day and I’ll hopefully be crafting!

That background stamp is a must have. Your cards are beautiful. TFS!!!

  7. Your card drive makes me feel happy. What an amazing success. And I LOVE your cute cards.
Hope the apple picking is fun. It’s so cold here – definitely an indoorsy kind of day.
    Have FUN.

Love the colors and designs on these cards. We are kind of playing low key this weekend.

We like to pick apples too. We go to Iron’s Fruit Farm. http://www.ironsfruitfarm.com/ They have something every season to pick. Family owned farm.

    Have a blessed weekend:)

Love this time of year. The husband has gone hunting and i am stamping and punching like a madman. And watching how to videos over and over. Love them. Oh, and trying to figure out digikits!!!

Will you be making an apple pie?

Such fun cards, Jennifer! Hope the apple picking went well. I LOVE freshly picked apples. Yum! Gala are my favourite! :)

  11. I’m loving that new cling background stamp and your cards are just darling. I’m wondering if you could tell me which style of Copic marker you use? I’m wanting to invest in some, but I’m not sure if I should go the cheaper Ciao route or invest in the Copic sketch marker. Your insight would be wonderful! Thanks for your continued inspiration! :)

  12. We still haven’t gotten to the orchard around here for picking. We did get to the pumpkin patch though! Great accent card and the mosquito is too cute.

  13. I did some research tonight and decided to go ahead order 9 Copic sketch pens (in 3 color groups) and a blender pen after writing this comment. I can’t wait to get them and try them out. I have a feeling I will quickly wish I had splurged on more colors. :P

  14. I went apple picking this weekend. The apples taste so good when they come straight from the orchard. I also picked up some cider. Yum. Thanks for sharing a little bit with us.

  15. I clicked on your EMAIL ME link but I don’t use Outlook so it wouldn’t work. I was wondering if it’s too late to send cards for Kate and Eric. I’d love to send some out ASAP for them. Please let me know. You can email me at angieliddiard@yhoo.com.

    Thank you!

  16. This is so awesome! Glad you like the set!
