How-To Video: Vintage Text on Grungeboard

Good evening!

Here is a video for ya.  It uses some of my favorite photos from our last trip to Europe. I am dying to go back there – but my husband has been addicted to going to the Caribbean the last few years.  However, we will be soon going to Croatia – and I can’t wait!  Wanted to do a page to show him how excited I am.  I love experiencing, enjoying and admiring the culture of others. There are some amazing places out there.  My house remains in need of so much work because I would prefer to hop on a plane. :)

I thought that Tim’s fab grungeboard would be perfect for this page. And I decided to mix it up with some vintage text paper.  Some people have asked me where I get mine.  I found a fab seller on ebay who sells great mixes of old textbook pages.  I love THIS one she has up now… small page sizes perfect for cardmaking or scrapbooking.

Anyway, here is the video…

Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Peeled Paint is yummy)

Other: string, sewing machine

Thanks for watching.  Have a good night. :)

Love the page and all the techniques you did here! That board is so flexible, when you were pulling it up, I was holding my breath cause it looked like it was going to break.
Love the cuttlebugging on it too…way too cleaver. And now I need that peeled paint ink!! TFS!

WOW!! What an awesome page full of so many great little extras! Worth all the effort! I’ve only been overseas once (to Holland/France back in 2000) and would LOVE to go to Italy sometime. I love history and the fact that there’s so much OLD stuff in Europe just makes me want to go again. Hope you have a great time in Croatia!

Hi Jennifer, thanks for the video. Love to learn new techniques.
What parts of Croata are you going to visit? Just wanted to tell you that Croatia is beautiful. I grew up there, right outside of Zagreb in a small village called Potok. All my family still lives there. My mom was just here for two months when I had my baby. It was her first time. I have lived here for almost 22 years :)
If you get a chance, visit Dubrovnik. We had and awesome room in the old town overlooking the city.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Ahh yes I so want to go back to Europe, we went in 2006 and my folks are just visiting there now. There is so much to see over there, I so want to go back but can’t see it happening anytime soon. Love the page, not sure what I like most but I do love that you have 4 reasonable sized photos on there and it doesn’t look cramped at all!
